Just watch Timmins get hired by LA, because of all those 5th round picks as incentive...

He gives 100% every shift and is pretty solid defensively.

I wish both him and the Montreal Canadiens good luck in the playoffs! Kings - Canadiens serie for the cup.

Very awesome story that will make Davis a fan favourite already.

No. It was the back of a skate to the jaw.

I think it's pretty funny how people judge the players because they don't know them. Surely if you don't know the player he must be bad...

Believe it or not, Weber will fetch more than a 7th.

I think he could fetch a 3rd or 4th.

Why is he what we need? He seems like a Gorges, Bouillon clone...

Was hoping for a #4 at least if they were gonna deal, but he's a good #6 who can kill penalties, which means Markov's mins can come down if they actually use him in the lineup.

Exactly.. and much better suited for playoff hockey than offensive #7's that play high-risk/high-reward. Now we get a guy who plays a low-risk style to sub in.

Hopefully you are right. I still think Weber has NHL upside, but he's never going to find it here, there's no room for him and he's gone downhill after showing promise.

Wow, he sounds like a real good guy. For what it's worth Kings fans seem to describe him as the "perfect 7th D", and if Diaz is recovering, that's really all we need.

As we all know, he used to be captain for the Kelowna Rockets. Plus he blocks shots like there's no tomorrow. The guy blocked the shot with his head. Hes a tank, a heart and soul player.

I really think adding the grit of Eric Nystrom is a good idea. Inexpensive player who can hold his own physically. Minimal cap hit, UFA at the end of the season.

Like others have mentioned, doubt Diaz will be back. Even if he does come back, who knows how good he'll be. The Habs were in desperate need of another defenseman. Sure you can risk playing Beaulieu or Tinordi as your 6th, but then what happens if there is another injury. Stanley Cup finalists are going to play 20-25 playoff games... that's half of this 48 game season. Look how many injuries there have already been so far. Anyone remember the Canucks 2 years ago?

Drewiske can be 6th D, Tinordi and Beaulieu will be 7th and 8th, and Weber will be 9th if he doesn't get traded.

So yeah...the team clearly was fond of him or they wouldn't have done that. I actually called his trade in the thread on our board when we got Regehr. Writing was on the wall.
Again, I'm quoting this post.

This speaks tantamounts as to the character and quality of guy we just acquired.

This and from the story that we've read he seems to be a good locker room guy.
