Yeah, if the Jets keep on like this he might stay in Michigan.

....so he gets to play with a better team.....

We have lots of skinny white chicks if you are into that sort of thing. Must be the high Ukrainian/German/Franco-Manitoban demographic.

@EJHradek_NHL: Hearing that '12 9th overall pick Jacob Trouba will be leaving the U. of Michigan to turn pro with the Jets. IMO, he's ready.

I'm guessing we're moving one of our 9 roster D than...
Whether that be to St. J (MEECH!!) or trade.

Holy excited..

Probably much more than I should be for a 19 year old who may not even play in the NHL this year

Congrats. I'm a Michigan fan so I'm obviously sad but you're getting a HELL of a player and a good guy to boot. Can't wait to see him absolutely destroy people next year.

You mean Lawless was...wrong? Oh how can I go on living!?!?

Anyways, good to hear. Could see him and Stuart being a decent bottom pairing as soon as this year.

I'm just excited for him to grab a mitt full of games with St. Johns, learn the systems, and meet and practice with the guys on the NHL roster too, because they'll have a longer season than the ice caps. Just get him involved so that next season he's right ready to go.

For all the people really worried about Trouba and his being ready, do you really think the kid is worse then Clitsome? Postma? Hanisey on a avg day? Im going to go with no.

No one says he is stepping into a top 3 role right away this year or next. But I watched him play with Mich he is a legit talent.

Wouldn't trouba be going to St. John's for the reaminder of the year?

Doubtful. I imagine one of Trouba's demands for signing is at least a tryout with the team this year. Wouldn't surprise if he plays less that 6 games though...

Good news if it's true. I assume he'll be sent to St John's?

I would expect him to get some NHL games in, as long as Noel trusts him after a couple of practices.

If he plays with the Jets this year, I really want to claim the GDT for his first game...

Apparently it takes 3-6 weeks of practices before your ready though (see Peluso and Kulda)...

Once Trouba gets into the lineup, I don't see him coming out. I think he will make a contribution from Day 1, as long as he is given a manageable role.

I'd love to see him get a shot with us this year.
If he's ready-ish chuck him in instead of Meech.
