Clowe is a bigger, badder version of Brandon Dubinsky. Averaging more points per game in his career, plays with toughness and is more of a play maker than goal scorer.

Sather did a terrible job filling hole in the offseason......the Rangers needed somebody like this. Question is, did they pay a little too much?

For me......as long as he is healthy, i'd kick the tires on him and see about a 3-4 contract after this year is up.

Dubinsky is a much better two way player though

Ragers need offensive help ( clowe gets more assists than goals.....but obviously can score as well ) and need toughness. In my opinion, nyr has enuogh guys who are two way players.

Once again, a player's value isn't even close to what people on HF were saying. It's crazy how posters on this board blow their loads over draft picks. Sharks fans were so over their head about the return they were expecting and anyone with even just a little of sense of observation could of seen it. Amazing return for the sharks, when you consider all the factors involved. Getting possibly 3 2nds for Clowe is excellent work by DW.

You're wrong, our bottom 6 has been a disaster. It's a huge reason why we can't score. No pressure taken off the top guys.

I get the feeling that his arrival may light a fire under the Rangers' ***** and they make a deep playoff run.

Pretty nice for both sides, it looks like. Might give the Rangers the boost they need to get to the playoffs and go on a tear.

He probably will. I'd bet money on him scoring a goal his first game. He's more than due.

this move puts some of the guys who are top six into their proper places on line 3 and 4. This team has no spark, no energy, clowe will bring it. Again, sather did crap to replace the spark plugs of prust, dubinsky, anisamov and mitchell.....clowe will help. His zero goals thing is a crap stat for this season. He averages .66 points per game in his career and hes a big body who plays hard. Unlike soft boys brian boyle and pyatt

Martin Brodeur has more goals then Ryane Cl0we.

On a serious note I don't like this trade from NYR perspective but maybe Clowe will regain his previous forms under a different system. Clowe would make more sense in Boston, Vancouver or Montreal. I think Sather just wasted some picks here if he can't resign him.
