If you think that the Bruins will "coast" to the finals then you obviously don't understand how hockey works.

Jagr is a killer player but there's no way he has nearly the same impact Iginla would have had.

Doubt Claude breaks up the Bergeron line, Horton is the RW so logic says it should be him.

Although Neely just said Jagr won't start on the Krejci line. (Many fans will go berserk if Jagr plays on the 3rd line)

I don't like this "Jágr wears down during the year" narrative. His decline in productivity last year was mainly caused by his groin injuries and the way the Flyers PP was schemed. Unlike many other NHLers this year, he's been playing hockey since early October and is still looking just fine.

Jagr sure loves to collect different jerseys in last few years.

how can you not be a fleury fan but say he's better than Rask? Tuukka is top 10 in the league.

Reality is Jagr is 41 with a groin problem that goes back to the mid 90's and that flared up in last years playoffs after or during beating the Pens.

I don't see a Claude Giroux or a Malkin or Crosby.

Tell me you have magic beans?

and, first the pens were a lock for the cup, and now with Jagr the B's will "coast to the final"? Let's just hope Montréal doesn't have the last laugh.

There was this guy named Thomas, he was all right. I trust Rask, but we'll only go as far as he takes us. He'll play well when his team plays well, when we play like **** we'll get **** on. He doesn't have the ability to give the team a chance to win night in and night out. No one in the league did or does the way he did in 2011. If our defense plays well and we give him offensive support, sure. He can take us all the way. But that's a huge if. He can steal games, but not the way Thomas absolutely robbed them.

Fleury would be in the minors if he were in the Bruins system. The guy is a very average goalie. I think the guy gave up more goals in one round than the Rasks career totals.

I'll believe the Yeti exists when he checks into a game at the Garden. Until then he is a myth, a legend, someone who may or may not even exist.

Love the trade. Guess I'm cheering for the Bruins again this year in the East.

he's perfect for the 3rd line minutes and power play. peverly should be smiling from ear to ear. i think it will be a great fit & fills a big void left by the ryder/recchi departures. loving this move.

Many a story has been told as to his presence. He's been seen roaming the areas of central Sweden, deep into the Swedish Winter Wonderland. Never a picture confirmed though. This year, a little more information is that he is, in fact, an actuality. He's been seen roaming the top of the goals/points sheet of the Elitserien, and the suspension sheets during the playoffs. Sounds less like a Burin, and more like a bear.

Decent trade for the Bruins, even though I'm not sure Jagr will make a difference. They didn't pay too much (only time will tell), but that's probably a risk worth taking. He can be a game-breaker but competition will be fierce in the East.

As a Habs fan, even with this year's success, I still don't think we're a Jagr's away from the cup to pay this price.

edit: feel a little sorry for Dallas, as Ryder should have had great value at the deadline. Instead of an aging Cole with a bloated contract, they could've had a nice package of picks and/or prospects.

rask has a higher sv percentage this year and a better career sv percentage (of course rask has played far fewer games, but at around 100 games for a goalie is when you start to see their true talent level ). fleury is dangerously mediocre and vokoun is aging.
