To be fair, we have only seen the Bolland/Kane/Sharp line together for what.....20 games at most?

IMO Bolland/Hossa/Sharp seems like a more natural line with Toews & Kane together. Maybe they will realize this eventually.

As it is, 2C is not as big a problem as everyone says.

Any update on Bolland? Didn't come back after getting knocked out on the first.

Stan pretty much forced to do something now, yes?

Maybe if he acquires a guy like Handzus in case one of his centers get hurt...

Bolland played a couple more shifts after getting hit with puck. Then didn't come back.

In all likelihood he is out a few games. Hardly a reason for Bowman to be forced to "do something" when Hawks are in 1st in the conference by a good margin.

I think this is my favorite statement in this thread by far.

lineup without Hoss, Sharp & Bolland

I like Saad playing without Hossa. I think Saad knows Frolik is going to never shoot unless it is off a rebound.

If we have Bolland, Sharp & Hossa out I still expect us to play .600 win percentage.

This is my lineup without Sharp Bolland Hossa.
I just promoted the second line and put Kane with Toews.

Saad Toews Kane
Bickell Shaw Stalberg
Hayes Kruger Frolik
Morin Handzus Carcillo
Mayers

he's only saying the truth and he won't go out and say: "Bolland is not good enough as #2 Center, we want to get a true #2 Center for picks + prospects but want to keep Saad, Teräväinen and Danault"

If he can't, why can all the other GMs?

Anyways, I hope we give Sharp/Bolland/Hossa a shot and put Kane back with Toews. Maybe Bolland will be back in playoff form in mid-April. We need a shakeup on that second line because it was our worst at cycling the puck down low and that's inexcusable. Hossa is kind of a one man puck possession beast and maybe he can add some balance to the way we control the game with all four lines.

You would.

Nothing like bringing that up after a game in which he got injured and only played 5 minute. But hey, it supports your irrational hatred for him so why not right?

Which gms on competitive teams are that open? I can think of more that keep their mouths shut than freely disclose their "untouchable" list.

And people have to remember that Bickell & Stalberg have been playing for $550K & $875K respectively, and have career NHL earning of probably < $3M each. These guys are trying to set themselves up for the rest of their lives, and they're not in the position to leave significant $'s on the table.

Unless you can trade Bolland. What do you think we could get for Bolland after this season? I obviously want Bolland for a Cup run, but with all the center prospects Kruger and now Shaw taking steps forward.... Handzus in the mix

Then Danault, Pirri, McNeill probably deserving some time in Blackhawks sweaters atleast one of the three. Somebody of that group will be NHL ready next year.

Handzus could even be resigned assuming he would be the 4th line center.

I think we have to consider what we could get for Bolland. Plus we could fill the 3rd line center role with Shaw who is making 550,000.

I almost think it would be wrong not to move Bolland assuming he is still worth a late first round pick and a prospect.

You're right. There is nothing wrong with posting an out of left field stat after: a) Bolland got injured and only played 5 minutes, b) the team looked like crap without him, and c) he had played 2 pretty good games prior. Completely reasonable timing for BWC to update us on that.

Who cares how many points or w.e he has. He has played well the last few games. People keep on over exaggerating his "awful" play. Just stop reading their posts.
