Flyers have avoided the shenanigans thus far. Rangers are stupid.

Indeed. That team has a lot of problems and I doubt that solved it. The trade for Nash did something to them.

It scorched their depth. That was one of the bigger reasons why I didn't want him here. Look at all of our problems this year, and imagine how much worse it would be with that type of trade.

Pens winning streak isn't looking to good right now. 4-1 Buffalo with 16 minutes left in the second period. Fleury coming in for Vokoun.

Both goalies are very capable of imploding should be fun to see in the playoffs.

What happened with Pitkanen? Was it as bad as the radio made it sound?

Looks like he blows a tire a millisecond before his leg goes into the board so his leg just takes all the kinetic energy

Edit: He sort of "slips" right before he goes into the wall. His balance dips.

No touch or hybrid icing please. No reason not to make the change.

Patrice Bergeron left in the 2nd period after Colin Greening made contact with his head and won't return. Hopefully for the Bruins sake it's nothing serious. Losing him for an extended period of time would be a big blow.

I saw Pitkanen get hurt when it happened. Hopefully that's not a broken leg.

RT @Russostrib: Text from Kurtis Foster: "Now that a star like Pitkanen hurt on icing, when is it enough?? No need for it anymore!!!!!!!!" #nhlpa #nhl

Not that I don't disagree with Foster but when did Pitkanen become a star player in this league?

I agree with Foster-- minus Pitkanen being a star.

Seems like Buffalo's taking a page out of our book tonight against the Pens. Kaleta's drawing penalties like crazy this game.

Its cause half their roster is made up of dumbasses. You think our roster is dumb? Engelland, Orpik, Neal, and Letang are the dumbest ****ers I've ever seen. Orpik frequently hits people into Fleury and then flips out on the guy he hit.

Yeah I think Kaleta has drawn at least 3 penalties this game. If Buffalo had anything that resembled a good power play this game would be ugly.

Whoever plays them in the first round has to make it their priority to get in the heads of Malkin, Letang, and Neal. Piss them off and they'll be running around all game trying to take someones head off instead of playing their game.

Penguin fans hate the way trolling and physical play can often shake them off their game.

I'm not even sure it's them, individually. I think it's their organizational culture. After an earlier Flyers-Pens match, I happened to stop by the Carolina forum and they were all wondering when/why Sutter had turned into a flopping diver. I certainly don't recall hearing about Neal being a rampant diver and cheapshot artist, until after he went to Pitt. Asham plays in Pittsburgh, loses his damned mind and goes full-on Phil Spector, then returns to normal in New York after getting out. Then of course, they employ Matt Cooke; many of their fans will have you believe he's misunderstood, but everyone else knows what he really is. And you have Crosby and Malkin leading the way; Crosby, breaking Giroux's wrists on FOs, and Malkin with his long history of sneaky slewfoots while refs aren't watching and variuous cheapshots.

Conclusion: They're a scum organization that turns players into execrable garbage who lack all semblance of discipline. So Cooke is a good fit, I guess.
