Thanks! I'll probably just wait until the 2nd episode airs just to be on the safe side.

I watched all 3 episodes tonight from 8 till 11. I barely breathed during the last 15 minutes of the 3rd episode. This has a very Twin Peaks-ish feel to it, right down to the beautiful trees. Lots of creepiness, dark secrets, excellent writing and acting. So much for starting my taxes...

What I said in post #3 of this thread (after episode 1) is exactly how I still feel about it.

Norman, his mother, most of the people from the town...creepy.

But since I like creepy serial killer shows, I'll watch the next episode. And more than likely, all of them.

I think the creepiest thing about this show is that his mother is named Norma

Everyone still liking it?

-I find it improving every episode, with more and more things going on. At first it was just Norman being kind of odd. Now so much is going on, but in a good way.

-I'm looking forward to see where they take Norman and his mother's relationship. Since it's just based off of the movie, I guess they could end the series with Norman not being a nut obssesed with his mother.

-Didn't like Dylan at first, but now that he's becoming more of a brother to Norman and the whole thing with the asian man and running over the dude? Should be good.

Season 2 has been confirmed btw. Will film this summer and will premiere probably at the same time season 1 did.

We're still liking it in my house as well. With new shows, not that I blame it or hold it against itself, but I always find that too much too soon is rarely a good thing and usually leads to a lack of interest. This is progressing pretty well so far.

I still really like it.

I wasn't a fan of Dylan at the start either but his character has become pretty good now.

There are a lot of series that I think are OK - pretty good for a few episodes. Then I find myself losing interest.

Bates Motel has not fallen into that pattern. I am still thoroughly enjoying it, and I still look forward to the next episode.

Good stuff.

This show is odd to me. I don't watch each episode on the edge of my seat. I don't love any of the characters, and the dialogue is nothing to write home about. Norman is so painfully awkward and odd. Norma is a nutjob. The storyline is... I guess moving along. I don't even know if I find myself especially invested in the show. Honestly, this whole show makes me feel ...uneasy.

But I keep tuning in. I keep wondering about what is going to happen, rather than focusing on what is happening. I have some theories, and I keep coming up with more. For maybe the first time in my life, I like a show.

And I can't adequately explain why.

Crazy episode on Monday. Didn't see any of that happening so soon, wonder where they're going to go for the rest of the season now.

I was biting my nails through the whole part when Norman and his brother were searching through the boat right up til the end of the episode. Love this show, so glad it got picked up for a second season

Kind of saw the ending coming. I'm guessing there are a lot of things that are going to be revealed based on his lack of recall and his visions.

I was behind because I got busy at work.. just blew through the last four episodes. The suspense/intrigue is such a great hook. Really looking forward to the next episode!

I'd blame Carlton Cuse for that. This has much of the same momentum-building character and plot development that LOST seemed to have.

I watched all 6 episodes tonight, and while the first two were a slow burn, by 6 it was a breakneck pace. I'm enthralled by the whole thing now.

Really like the modern setting, yet with the small town visual throwbacks to Psycho-era culture. Cars, clothes, the motel itself. Feels authentic, yet organic.
