Because his average is 68. You round up.

Wow. You mean you arent interested in re stocking the Sabres with talent at your expense? What kind of Sabres, I mean, Flyers fan are you?
Lol, why do you post in so many Sabres rumors? You got some vendetta against the Sabres??

Who said anything about trading away 4 first round picks for him? I think most reasonable Sabres fans are not expecting anything remotely close to Couturier+ for him, so please, be more ridiculous, it suits you.

Mid round 1st, good prospect and another pick and I would be happy.

Unless Tomas Vanek all the sudden is playing in the blueline, he doesn't help Philadelphia. Bantam teams can score on them.

You give Holmgren too much credit.

You speak in past tense....yet it's all hypothetical.

Seems more like an example of you not being able to contain yourself.

Well...we've got Stolie the Goalie in the OHL and Shayne Gotisbehere who both possibly project as legit NHL'ers, though Gostisbehere will need to bulk up and Stolarz being a goalie makes him a total crapshoot. Both aren't as advanced as Cousins and Laughton who are probable 3rd line level players with Laughton having more development capability offensively.

But yeah those 4 are basically the beginning and end of the Flyers farm system. In years past, Holmgren was good at two things; foolishly trading draft picks and signing college FA's. He hasn't done either yet.

it doesn't work that way. you look at what a player does each year, not add up all their points and then divide. if you're gonna call someone a 70 point player, they should then more often than not get 70 points in a season.

Hehe...using the years/point totals method I can turn Scott Gomez into a 53 point player.

And if you call two very young centers future 70 point players? What then?

Except Thomas Vanek scored 73 points in 2011 and is over a PPG this year. It's ok though, if you wanna make **** up to discredit players I'll just call Sean Couturier a 25 point center. He hasn't scored 30 points in a season yet, so I'll just be as ignorant as the people saying Vanek isn't a 68 point player (Even though his career PPG proves he is and the fact he has never failed to score 25+ goals every season in his career). Can't wait til the deadline is over so I can stop seeing horrendous garbage offers from teams for Vanek where they offer their B rate players (Matt Read etc) for him.

Only on HF are two unproven prospects are worth more then a Calder winning 23 year old franchise d-man and a 2x 40 goal scorer who has a higher goals per game avg then Jarome Iginla in the last 5 seasons

if it's a conditional 2014 2nd when Burmistrov resigns then I could make this deal.

Vanek
2014 conditional 2nd round pick* (added only after Burmistrov resigns)
2013 4th round pick

for

Burmistrov
Postma
2013 1st round pick

Just because you have a lack of knowledge of the flyers system, doesn't mean they have no prospects

Not that I should have to inform you of those prospects, but they have 7 or 8 that can see NHL Ice in less than 3 years.

Scott Laughton
Nick Cousins
Brandon Manning
Shayne Gostisbehere
Blake Kessel
Marcel Noebels
Jason Akeson
Anthony Stolarz

Those are some the Flyers are high on.

Laughton should be a regular player next season, and I hope Ghost is ready for the 14-15 season after spending a year with the Phantoms.
