I can't see anyone stopping the Avs in the playoffs now.

Very true, because if you don't face them you can't stop them

I liked Vincour, I don't think he'll be a top six guy but think he can be a good crashing third liner who can chip in 10-15 goals. Haven't been happy with any of the trades today. Gah.

Wish the Canucks got in on Gaunce with his brother in the system.

Typo? A guy with 8 goals over three seasons can't be called a proven finisher.

as an Avs fan I was quite impressed with Gaunce's brief NHL stint 2 years ago, but he hasn't done anything noteworthy since. Not expecting much from Vincour but relatively happy with this trade -- a bottom pairing D for a third line W is an ok swap. Vincour's advanced numbers suggest he performed quite well, though he was given relatively soft minutes. Not expecting much more than ten goals and 20 points on any given season.

Can a Dallas fan tell me a bit about Vincour...?
Vincour has played about 90 games and has 15 pts. Good skater, plays good position. IMO, he is not a true scorer and does not get the puck on net that much. We have several forwards that know how to score and can score: Fraser, Ritchie, Sceviour, Chiasson, Facksa (sp), Smith. We did not need Vincour.

Vincour's waiver exemption just ended, right? Maybe Dallas didn't have room for him on the roster but didn't want to lose him for nothing via waivers.

They also just called up half the farm. Guys they would rather play over Vincour.

Best of luck to Cameron Gaunce, my old dentist was his aunt here in the city, ha. She's clean my teeth and tell stories about her relatives and how excited they were to be drafted. Memories.

Gaunce was mishandled with the Avs.

IMO Floor will be a 6th/7th defenseman, ceiling is 2nd pairing in a complimentary role. Most likely will become a solid bottom pairing.
