By seeing a thank you thread for Clowe I get the feeling that we may have just acquired a pretty special player despite him being 30...
He's more like a playmaking Lucic. Lots of toughness/intangibles still in this guy.

Expect him to drop the gloves tomorrow. Morrow or Iginla or Engelland. He will set the tone on a new team.

I can see a Clowe Iginla scrap. Do we know if he's playing tomorrow?

Indications are that he will be with the team in New York for the game tomorrow night.

Thank you Clowe, for so much. For being such an integral part of the team I've been loving growing up. For the funny moments, the awesome trolling, the emotions you had running in every Sharks fan. The hate of losing and all the times you've stood up for your teammates. A warrior, a bull, and emotions sometimes got you taking bad penalties, but it's such a small trade-off in the grand scheme of things. You brought some much needed aspects to San Jose. The Sharks would not have been the same without you and thank you for giving us two back-to-back Western Conference Finals - it's better than many can say. Thank you for giving us awesome games against the Canucks, the Red Wings, the Ducks, the Stars and more. We'll miss you, you awesome newfie. Come back to us one day !

Thank you.

Miss the guy already. Such a blue-collar, hardworking hockey player. The kind we had in the 90s when this team was the underdog. A true Shark-type guy. There are quite a few top-9 forwards on this team I would have preferred to see go, and even though he's taken a step back this year, he's the type of player (aside from a lack of speed) that we need more of, not less.

Sorry to see you go Clowe. Good luck and would be thrilled to have you back soon.

Absolutely this.

Hate seeing guys who have always worn the teal jersey leave, and Ryane's personality will be impossible to replace. I really will miss the guy.

In terms of personality though I'd probably have wanted to keep Clowe over every forward we have though, how can you not love the guy? Even if you wanted him gone as a player due to his lack of footspeed and stupid penalties, and because we need goal scoring, you have to respect who he is. A great guy.

Still a top six forward. Hoping for a bounce back year, and much deserved media attention in NY.

I really really miss him already. Damn it. This is so sad.

I love your avatar. I am a big fan of the Natal Sharks (of which she is one of the flasher girls who perform before the match).

Anyway, I came here to read into Clowe, since I hardly see any Western Conference hockey. It's just not possible for me to watch the matches when they start at 3 AM for me.

Dude, his shooting percentage is going to start regressing to the mean and he's going to score like a goal every other game and it's going to be attributed to a "change in scenery" and he's going to get $6M x 7 years and I'm really excited for that.

Gonna miss you Clowe. Thanks for all your heart, physicality and everything else you brought to the team for so many years. Will definitely miss your patented backhand top shelf during shootouts.
