Looks like Budish has signed his ELC

Cellblock 303 ‏@Cellblock303 58s
It appears (per his Golden Gopher teammate @EHaula) that Zach Budish has signed an entry level (or PTA) deal with #Preds. Working on it...

Boy Hellberg has really bounced back after a sketchy start to the season.

Just going by his stats this year; 2.28 GAA, .919sv%.

He is, he's a pro scout. Why do you ask?

Wanted to give you guys some info on Forsberg but didn't want to post in a hectic trade thread.

33P in 38GP for Leksands, captained Sweden to a WJC Silver Medal, named to the tournament all star team, and just recently named the best under-20 player in Allsvenskan.

He also preforms very well in "pressure" situations. In the recent Kvalserien tournament to decide who gets promoted to the SEL (Forsberg's team, Leksands won) Forsberg finished 2nd in goals and 5th in points out of the whole tournament. (I believe)

Here are two two-goal games from that tournament, he showcases what he does best on all 4 of them.

(goals at 0:21 and 0:54 in 2nd video)

For the first time in a long time (if ever), does our forward prospect pool look better than our defense prospect pool? This was probably true even before we got Forsberg.

Yes, but only because Ellis, Blum, and Josi aren't specs any more. Our young D corps still looks better than our young Fs, but it's close.

On a side note, as pissed as I was by the Hellberg pick at the time, our goalie cupboard would be awfully bare without him.

yeah but we want him NHL ready tomorrow.

Still it would be a HUGE 'Hey sorry for poaching all your players this year. Have a gift!"

Just 1 year in Milwaukee, that's all I ask!

He is what 18 or 19?

I can't decide whether I want him up here or in the AHL. You're right about one thing though, the Ads could use him.

Especially without Latta. Beck, Mueller and Latta were the top 3 scorers this season. The Ads have none of them at the moment. Bartley is still the #6 scorer. Milwaukee is one point out of a playoff spot at the moment.

Sucks that our injuries really hurt you all too. But Predators aren't out of the race yet either and need to win.

No hard feelings. The Preds need to do what's best for them and worry about us later.

Milwaukee lost to Rockford for the second game in a row. They need 86 points to make the playoffs and their maximum is now 91 points. They have 5 road games and 3 home games remaining.

Scott Valentine played left wing and scored one goal. He showed a lot of speed tonight and threw some thunderous hits in the neutral zone. He would have been the 7th D-man tonight. The Ads could have used him since Ford and Bitetto played like total idiots, giving the puck away near their own goal several times each. Ekholm was the only D-man who played well. Rockford had 47 shots on goal.

Zach Budish played his first game for Milwaukee and showed me nothing. Maybe next game will be better. Paul Crowder also debuted tonight. He was everywhere on the ice and had an assist on Valentine's goal to tie the game at 3. Puustinen had a goal and an assist and was the best player on the ice for Milwaukee, followed by Valentine.

Aren't the AHL playoffs about to start? I say let him get that experience of playing in the postseason under his belt.

Milwaukee has lost the last 2 games to Rockford, getting zero points. The Ads are in 9th, Rockford in 10th and Chicago in 8th, all with 75 points. The Wolves have played 67 games, Ads 68 and Rockford 69. There is a good chance that the current lack of offense and 5 of the last 8 games being on the road will doom the playoff chances. The last regular season game is Sunday April 21st at Peoria.

Maybe Budish was nervous. I hope so. I was expecting more from him.

Huge win tonight for the Ads, a 3-0 shutout in Charlotte. Hellberg's 4th shutout of the season.

Ekholm scored his 7th of the season, Puustinen his 14th and Crowder his 1st.

We need Chicago to lose in regulation to help us out but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. The good news is they're beating Oklahoma City, which helps us a bit but still keeps us out of the playoffs. Peoria is currently leading Rockford after 2, so hope that score holds to create a little separation there.

I hate depending on other teams losing rather than Milwaukee winning!
