Riding the elevator with Chris Kelly. Me: Peter says Jagr will play on the third line with you. Him: Why? Why would you do that to the guy?

And Buffalo ends Pittsburghs 15 game winning streak with a 4-1 win.

We do, we just use the Injury Report tag instead.

those assessments are fantastic. Couldnt find a fault in any of them.

Regin sucks. I stand by that statement. I was hoping he would soar like an eagle with injuries, but he is our worse Center. I don't say this without regret, but his has played his way out of this league.

Good bye and good luck in the Swiss League.

I would agree completely. It's hard to see where Regin fits in - he can't generate offense consistently, and he isn't good enough defensively to be a fourth liner. Add in the fact that he is injury prone, and I see a guy who won't be in the NHL next year, rotated out to give a young prospect a better look.

I think he's too afraid of getting hurt again and that's holding him back

I'm a big fan of his but he's run out of time with Ottawa, I do hope he gets another shot on another team though!

He found his groove in that playoff series vs. the Pens. Unforunately all the injuries have completely messed with his development. Without those injuries, I really believe he was on his way to be a good 2nd liner in this league.

I was pulling for him to fit in this year with injuries as well...at least raise his value enough to trade him for anything to another team that would be able to give him a better shot...but alas, like the doubters said earlier in the season he simply cannot fit in on a NHL team.

To soft and not skilled enough. Can't help but think he is not playing as hard as he could out of fear of injury and going into UFA that would put him out of NHL, but instead he played wimpy and that is his route out instead.

Was still worth it to give him a shot, doubt he gets traded and maybe gets a last chance cheap contract his summer somewhere

Strome opened up his AHL career with a goal and an assist as well as a first star honour. Kinda neat. Will be nice to see when Noesen and Ceci get their shot at the AHL this year (if they do).

Lets hope Noesen doesn't see the AHL this year. If he does, that mean Plymouth got beat by an underdog.

I would hope that Murray can trade Regin for something today, I don't see him in Ottawa's plans next season. Of course, teams can just wait until July 1 too & bid for him if he even stays in the NHL.

what's the point? the return won't be significant, so might as well use him as injury insurance.

A 6th rd pick got us Stone & Greening didn't it? A 7th got us Sdao. With this scouting group anything is possible, we have plenty of guys in Bingo to call up plus the guys that are returning, we have enough injury replacement players. Move the guys you don't need & are not in your plans for next yr, makes more sense IMO.

If you can get a 1st round pick or a 2nd+roster player in a deep draft then you do it. I like that BM seems to be holding out for a jaw dropping deal.

For Regin? Of course you do.

Not sure what GM would be stupid enough to give us a valuable pick for Peter Regin, though.

Possibly Milbury. Or Muckler. That's about it, though.

They were talking about Regin not Bishop

That will teach me to have multiple windows open while playing NHL13 and watching deadline coverage. No idea why I thought they were talking about Bishop haha.

If we are talking Regin then yeah keep him around in case of injuries. The team doesn't need any more minor draft picks.

Yep...I tried telling people. Clowe was an amazing grab for the Rags...and they didn't have to give up much to get him.
