I would also bet that CBJ is on Pommer's list.

The Jets are shopping Alexander Burmistrov. He could move today. #Tradetracker

c'mon Darcy, work some magic.

I could definitely see this happening. More realistic than Couturier, but still the type of player that Darcy will likely target.

I just have a gut feeling that none of the big three will be moved today but we will see a deal or two that catches us all off guard.

Yay or Nay:

Ennis for Burmistrov + 2013 WPG 2nd

Not advocating one way or another, just trying to see people's gut instincts.

I'd say yeah

but WPG needs RW, unsure whether WPG is on Poms list, if so, maybe something around Stafford could work. no idea how that would get balanced out though.

Stafford and LA's 2014 2nd for Burmistrov or...

Stafford and St. Louis' 2013 2nd for Burmistrov.

Don't hijack my hypo!

(But seriously, because people will immediately move off the Ennis proposal and start trying to figure out deals around Stafford. Stop fighting the hypo. )

Stafford and one of their seconds might be a fit.

No. Want Burmistrov, don't want to move Ennis for Burmistrov. I'd rather work another deal with Winnipeg for him.

I think if you want a deal around Stafford, you'd have to give up a 1st somewhere. Something like:

Stafford
2014 BUF 1st

for

Burmistrov
2013 WPG 2nd

And I don't think Regier does that with a rebuilding team.

Sorry, lol. Ennis has proven more so far than Burmistrov, enough for a 2nd to not make up for the difference right now. I'd feel real queesy over that one.

well stickin with that, my reasoning would be having Hodgson, Burmi, Grigorenko going foward gives us all of the pieces down the middle and instead of having Ennis as the LW, they could hopefully draft Nichushkin at LW (a guy i'm very high on as much as Barkov, Lind, Mon and really fills a LW need on this team, big, skates very well, great hands, vision)

I'm not advocating one way or another on the Ennis/Burmi deal above--in fact, I have no idea whether I'd do it or not, as I can see it being argued both ways--but it's interesting to think about if you believe Grigs will be fine in time.
