Dmitry Kulikov Generating Interest?

Intriguing name: teams are talking to Florida about Dmitry Kulikov. He's not untouchable but I think Florida would need to get a great offer

I hope the Flyers are interested, just scared about the price.

That'd be a tough decision to make...22 year old d-man with a great future ahead. It's not like they have a whole lot of assets to give up but Kulikov seems like a guy to keep around. Campbell would be more likely to go.

Doesn't Campbell have a few years left though? That contract is brutal and would handcuff most playoff teams

I'd move a lot for Kulikov from the Flames; a stud D is a piece we really lack moving forward.

Kulikov is a guy you move a 1st++ for. If he's moved I could see Philly or Detroit ante up for him. Detroit 1st + Xavier Oullet + Tomas Tatar + ?. What would it take? Kenny Holland wants Weiss as well, throw in a 5th/6th to have first shot at negotiating a new contract?

Why would a rebuilding team trade off a talented young defenseman? That really doesn't make much sense to me.

GMs rarely come out and say a player is available

Well, I'd say only guys like Markstrom and Huberdeau are untouchable.

Someone like Kulikov, would be in the "not trading unless you are overpaying slot".

He has shown flashes of being a top pairing defenseman, but he has has his brain farts, not to mention his accuracy on his slap shot would take down a blimp before hitting the net.

Montreal does not need him, but I could see Philly in the hunt for him.

Would Couturier for Kulikov work for both teams?

Keep in mind, the report is teams are asking about him, not that the Panthers are shopping him. Thats a big difference, it means the Panthers are not looking to move him. Bob McKenzie just tweeted the same thing:

No way is Kulikov being swindled away from us for two college players. That seems to be the trade trend right now. We have enough prospects.

Talking about impact players in return for Kuli or he's not going anywhere.

Why do you always crap on the panthers??? Ya a baby can find out by looking at the standings that we aren't doing well but last year we were in the playoffs. This year we were ravaged with so many injuries and poor goaltending so yes we haven't done well. With a full roster and the goaltending we are now getting from Markstrom we would be in the playoffs no doubt.

7 first round picks and a stick to bite down on.

Alternatively, an equivalently talented forward.

Would have thought he'd be considered untouchable. He's a great piece to have for your core.
