How could you possibly have been doing your due dilly for 6 months as he states yet never apparently even visited before nor even had a single conversation with the teams President & the Mayor of the City? A few tweets & text messages with Bill Daly's hardly doing ones due diligence. ... Heck, one night just for fun I sent Daly a tweet, then got into it with him about the Scoville Scale. Used to measure the heat in chili peppers, having opened the conversation with him about chicken wings. Guy thinks he's some kinda expert on the subject. Well, you got another think coming Billy... anyway, point being, had I broached the subject of the Coyotes, had the resources & interest, damn straight Daly wouldve been more than amenable, taken the conversation off-line, followed up. Its not like theres a moat, draw bridge, iron barred gates and fire breathing dragons keeping anyone monied away for a close up peek or long look as the case may be.
The guy's probably just wanting to score a free stroll into a suite at the Jobing.com for tonight's hockey game. That's the easiest way to get a freebee - act like you're going to buy the team and then show up to check out your future franchise in action. He might even get a twirl around the ice with the boys.

... isnt that rather elaborate Whileee, just so you can watch a game in a suite? Now, we know Anthony Le Blanc's been getting away with it for at least 2yrs. Guy apparently has a Mike Smith oversized goalie equipment bag on wheels. Jams er' full of bar stocks, Bugles, Milk Dud's, Nacho & Appy Platters, Sandwiches, Enchilada's, Taco's... glassware, silverware... 42" LCD wall mounted monitors gone missing several times... but c'mon here.

So GJ's becoming "relevant" again because Pastor is seemingly becoming more and more irrelevant?

Didn't this Morgan fellow also claim that Hulsizer is still in the running for the Coyotes?

I think this franchise is done, folks. It's just a few tire kickers trying to get a sweet deal from Glendale since time is short. Kinda like going into a grocery store and hoping the milk that expires in 24 hours is 50% off.

The discount isn't going to come from the NHL, and I don't think Glendale is in the financial position to hand the Coyotes over any more cash.

Pastor, Gosbee, and the JIG are just hoping that Glendale City Council is going to blink when the threat of relocation becomes real.

I just hope for the sake of the fans that supported the franchise for many years gets a chance to know that the team is leaving before the season is out.

That sounds painful. Swore myself off the stuff many, many years ago after a similar experience.

The captain's tweets would indicate that you have provided the correct diagnosis for his twitter stumbling. Nothing else could really be an excuse for such behavior. Could it?

Jamison again? Is the cast all getting ready to unite for the series finale? Where are Moyers and Balsillie? Still waiting for the plot twist that brings back that little kid who convinced the city council to approve the firts $25M package returning and being revealed as Cthululu's vessel on Earth. Something about opening the 4 gates of hell: Westgate, Eastgate, Northgate, and Southgate. It's been unusually quiet on the Indian front. Shouldn't the Tohono O'odham be making an appearance soon? Or do we learn Westgate and Jobing.com Arena were built on an ancient Indian burial ground? It's feeling unusually quiet on the casting call. Seems ripe for a surprise return of somebody (besides Jamison, who went over as well as reheated three day old leftovers).

The Tohono O'odham have more than a 'hockey team' to be concerned with.

Heading to court again, on April 9, over the casino.

And, the plaintiff in the case is 'giving' a $505,000 grant, to Glendale, to pay for 18 Chevrolet Tahoes...

If you read your first linked article you might notice that Tohono O'odham have won every important court decision to date.

Thinking the Gila River Tribe buttering up Glendale with gifts is going to change the legal situation makes no sense to me? If anything it diminishes Gila's arguments in their lawsuit against Tohono O'odham.

Point of clarity gentlemen....

CoG gave the police department permission to apply for the grant. Doesn't mean they'll get it.

Also.... the Gila River band isn't the only tribe going up against the Tohonos.

BTW-any word on the Auditor's report-when it's supposed to be out?
With the way Bettman handled the lockout, he's not going anywhere for the next 15 years min. The league is now reporting record profits and the players have literally been robbed. The only way the Coyotes will be leaving is if it's out of Bettman's power to keep them there. It's only a question of time, unless the yotes make a PO push and can get some success in at least the first two rounds.

Two short weeks from now, Gary Bettman is going to wake up and realize this is all a dream, it's 2007, and Terry Pegula is interested in taking over the Coyotes.

http://prohockeytalk.nbcsports.com/2...pastor-fellow/

Glendale Mayor Jerry Weiers said late Monday that he had never spoken to Pastor and that he was unaware that Pastor had hoped to speak with him. “I don’t know who Darin Pastor is,” he said.

Despite the above, Pastor says his interest in the Coyotes is very real.

“We’ve been sort of sizing this up, framing how we can get it done, how we can get the financing in place, how we can make sure that we have enough capital to make sure we can make this thing work over a long period of time,” he said.

“We’ve not only done a great deal of due diligence on this, but we believe we can pull this off. If we didn’t, we wouldn’t bother,” he said.

So Mr. Pastor has done his due diligence on the team, but considering the Mayor of Glendale has never heard of this guy, and the NHL has also said they don't know who he is... it's clear that the NHL has not done their due diligence on this guy. Then again, maybe at this late date there isn't any due diligence to do other than Gary Bettman asking.. "Do you have the money?" and Mr. Pastor saying " Sure do, trust me! ".

http://www.riabiz.com/a/21341041/why...hoenix-coyotes

The competing offer and the fast-approaching deadline from the NHL may have prompted Pastor’s Good Friday declaration of intent. But, while negotiations are ongoing and confidential, he can say that he believes his group’s bid has a better shot than others’ because the investment bankers he’s working with have extensive experience with municipalities and what he calls the “intellectual capital.” One of the main hang-ups with past proposals has been working out a long-term lease with the city of Glendale. Pastor hinted that his team has been working with the city and is better prepared to reach a deal.

“I don’t think anybody’s going to offer what we have,” he says.

So Pastor says he has been working with the city, yet the Mayor says he has never heard of the guy.... something doesn't smell right in Glendale....

There really aren't any compelling business, governance, or legal aspects remaining in this saga now.

Tomorrow Never Dies. Pierce Brosnan, Jonathan Price as
a MediaMogul. Completely insane, quite possibly psychopathic.

Most unfortunate that rather than Sean Connery, Roger Moore,
Brosnan or Daniel Craig the NHL has seen fit to cast 'B' Graders
George Lazenby or Timothy Dalton in the starring role however...

The franchise never ends. Always compelling, entertaining.
