Still love that, if we do end up trading him, we got a solid year out of him AND another asset.

As much as it might be nice for CBJ to add someone like Bishop to compliment Bob, I can't see them paying the premium that some of these other teams reportedly legitimately interested in Ben rightfully should be paying for a goalie of his caliber.

That's in response to some of the comments on the first page.

Am I the only one who wants a Bishop for Vermette deal should we trade him?

Not sure really, but according to TSN teams are kicking tires about him and the Panthers are listening.

Kulikhov has a great shot and size, would replace Gonchar nicely on our powerplay if he doens't come back next year.

I still remember the prank on poor Vermette at practice on a deadline day where everyone pretended he was traded

Murray has to be careful not OVER-reach here, in terms of asking for building block type players. We can get a solid prospect or a decent pick, but asking about guys like Kulikov, Gormley or OEL is likely a quick way to kill a deal with a GM.

Still more likely a team makes a deal for Bishop in June, but some might be tempted to make the move today and have a solid 1A goalie going forward.

Well with this Bishop talk heating up I am trying my best not to get too excited. One thing I've gotta say about deadline day is that even if there aren't many deals you gotta love getting to watch hockey talk for like 5 hours haha.

You probably are the only one. Maybe Vermette wants that too, so there could be two of you.

Our D is starting to get exposed a bit - Gryba, Weircioch & Benoit (even Phillips when playing more than he should). All have been HUGE for us, but all are starting to show their warts - mostly due to inexperience. I love them and what they've done for us, but if we want to win a round or more we'll need to bump these guys down. Cowen will be a great boost, I think we need another guy as well.

Pierre Mcguire gave Ottawa some serious love on the drafting/loyalty/leadership front right there.

My internet sucks right now, and streaming video is pretty much out of the question.

Can anyone post a summary when it happens?

He loves the Senators, he really truly does.

I'm surprised so many of you seem to be paying serious attention to the TSN panel... I don't buy into this media-fabricated frenzy at all.
