I would be happy if they traded Couturier although it would make sense for them considering Schenn and Giroux are already there and are both still young. They need a puck-mover BADLY.

Not unless we're sending a lot of money back or we're getting rid of Gaborik with very little money coming our way.

Useless. Slow and not very good positionally. Absolutely no skill.

I haven't enjoyed watching him this year at all. It's been quite a mystery why he's consistently relied upon.

If Flyers want Yandle, it'll cost them Couturier + ... Talks are fluid.
Knew it. I can see this happening.

So who was the "clear winner"? SJ?

Also EJ is a nice pipe dream.

Rangers need to worry about getting rid of some of these players so they can fit under the cap next season, before adding more players and losing more picks.

Let's add some picks for Christ's sake.

“@KatieStrangESPN: #NYR Name like Yandle sure to generate lots of interest. Rangers don't have the maneuverability to do that type of deal right now, though”

Let's go get a D-man; hopefully one that is puck mover. We have enough good forwards. The only thing we really need up front (aside from guys playing to their norms) is a 3C. But let's be honest, we could trade for Matt Duschene and Torts would jumble the lines to make sure Boyle is our 3C. So, trading for someone who appears to be our 3C will not move BB to the 4th line where he belongs. Torts has less butt buddies in the D core. Let's get a solid D-man and use some of our forward depth to do it.

Is Yandle going to make Philly any better defensively? He doesn't seem to be very lauded for his work away from the puck.

Actually I have, and I'm not very impressed, not my type of player, and I can guarantee you that Torts would bench him quite often. There's a reason the team that drafted him a few years ago is reportedly trying to move him. However, that's just my opinion...

The Jets are shopping Alexander Burmistrov. He could move today.

Boy, I second that. This guy needs a change of scenery. When he played in NY last year, I thought he was the best player on the ice.

Winnipeg could be the perfect landing spot for Gaborik in the right trade. They need a right winger in the worst way. Right now, Gaborik is a right winger in the worst way.

Gaborik for Burmistrov and a defenseman? Just sayin...

Yeah, no. Not even sure why it was brought up. We also don't really have much to trade.

PHX wants a top center. The Rangers don't have that player to give up and Yandle has a big cap hit. Didn't the Rangers look at Yandle last summer? PHX wanted Derek Stepan. Not happening.
