TSN panel said that Phoenix is going to trade us Yandle and Hanzal for Regin and Bishop....true story....

What EggRoll said, also thinks Ottawa is in prime position to add players in the off season with the cap going down(we have $20 million in cap space).

Edit: with the cap going down, other teams might trade players they normally wouldn't choose, in order to fit under the cap.

I'm surprised so many of you seem to be paying serious attention to the TSN panel... I don't buy into this media-fabricated frenzy at all.
What should we watch other than TSN?

OT: Here's a fun fact: The world in which Tim Horton's commercials are set in has to be the most annoying place in the world.

I swear to god all of their commercials are incredibly annoying and stupid. That guy is an idiot because I don't care what bread it is made out of; THAT IS A BREAKFAST SANDWICH. If you can make one out of an english muffin then you can damn well make one out of a panini.

Single worst thing about watching TSN or Sportsnet is the fact that we are subjected to the same five commercials every single break.

For real? What is Maloney thinking?!? This might be the Yashin trade all over again for the Sens, in the BEST way possible, and...

@SunGarrioch: The Jets are shopping Alexander Burmistrov. He could move today. #Tradetracker

I wonder if Jets are one of six teams interested in Bishop and if we could package to get him.

I'm just fantasy posting now but is a Murray trade for sure.

Don't want Hanzal, even for that return.

I know, I can hear you thinking. You're thinking, "HAWT, you're crazy. This kid's a good player, a smart checker and defensively reliable. Plus he's a character person off the ice and the exact mold of a player we could use."

Well, yeah, I'm not arguing that. But I'm just saying, Ben Bishop is an upstanding citizen and a great teammate. Whereas Hanzal... well, let's just say he hasn't publicly SAID he's against the attacks on Burma.

Alright, so predictions game time:

Using the hypothetical scenario that Bishop DOES in fact get dealt today...
- name the team (5 points)
- Name the trade details. (2 points for every correct "asset" changing hands, -1 point for ever incorrect asset)

My guess is:
Bishop and Ottawa's 5th to PHX for Korpikoski and a 2nd.

We should make a simpler contest too. By the end of the day, name the Senators who will not be on the roster.

My picks: Regin, Bishop, Matt Puempel, Nikita Filatov

Puempel and Filly too?

Bishop and Regin I think are gone.

I'm not so sure Regin gets moved, but only because he'd have more value to us as a potential injury replacement in the playoffs than the 5th rounder he would fetch in a trade.

Unless you can get a decent return for him (doubtful), or add him as a small piece in a larger trade to maximize a return (slightly more likely), I say keep him as insurance in the playoffs (he already knows Maclean's system), then let him walk in the offseason.

Same amount of goals as Clowe. Look for a similar return.

Not really, but we could get the 6th round pick back that we gave up to get Kassian. Or just hope he regains his form and trade him then.

Prediction: Murray's only move will be to move Regin for a bag of pucks. He will say he wanted to get him an opportunity to play.

Bruins game has me grumpy, but that's how I feel at the moment.

i'd rather keep him then.

regin on the bench in case of injury > 6th round pick.
