Would love Korpi if we could get him. He always seems like one of those untouchables on the Coyotes.

I don't think they'll trade him, and even if they did he's due for a fairly sizable raise.

LOL! You couldn't tell he was slow cause he was skating with Pavs... Wellwood is slow dude. Shifty, but slow.

Good god no! Hannan is washed up big time.

Gomez is like wellwood with a cheetah taped to his back. Also Gomez isn't soft. He doesn't fight but he takes abuse to make plays and isn't so small that he gets thrown around all the time.

Gomez

or run four scoring lines:
Wellwood - Pavelski - Galiardi
Sheppard - Gomez - Desjardins
Burish

The point I'm trying to make is the Sharks need that tweener. If Demers is healthy, that's all they will need.
I like your second set up. Burish just slows and kills any effectiveness on whichever line he plays on. Plus, Wellwood would be a nice adition and the fourth line of S-G-D have really clicked.

The one wild card I could see is Greiss. I haven't heard a single thing about him being traded, but DW is obviously wiling to ship out guys that won't be back. Why not Greiss? Any pick would be better than letting him walk.
Because Greiss doesn't have much, if any, trade value. Goalies in general are cheap. Backup goalies with very little experience that aren't seen as potential franchise goalies are practically worthless. Besides, they may want to keep him and sign him for next year. Stalock as a backup is pointless. If anyone would be traded, it would be him since he has recognized potential.

The Hurricanes will try to move Jussi Jokinen today. He cleared waivers once. #TRADETRACKER
I can see us going for that now that Clowe has been moved. Hopefully for a 7th. Not sure if DW didn't go for him when he was on waivers. Maybe because we still needed to move Clowe.

One or two more moves happen today, that's my guess. No clue the magnitude of them.

I'm thinking DW doesn't want to take on $3 million for next year.

Problem is that it's Garrioch so it's unlikely that there's any truth to it lol

Would love to see the Sharks unload Boyle. I know we are only 2-points from 4th place, but I still think it would be smart to trade Boyle when his stock his high. We need to get younger too.

My proposal:

Sharks acquire: Sean Couturier + 3rd RD pick

Flyers acquire: Dan Boyle

Rumor is the Flyers are looking at Yandle from PHX and Couturier would be the price for him. Obviously Yandle is much younger than Boyle, but Flyers get what they want in Boyle, Sharks get younger, cut some payroll and get another draft pick.

Your thoughts? BTW, I realize this is my first post, but I am a lifelong Sharks fan from the Bay Area.

Kid is buried on the 4th line on a team that needs scoring. He has the talent but no confidence. Sheppard like situation.

Boyle is worth as much as a 50 point offensive defensemen with a year left on his contract is worth, his age is irrelevant since it's not likely to be an issue within the limits of his contract.

He's worth a lot, and will get a solid return, his value isn't even in the same conversation as Clowe's. Also remember, he essentially does not have a NTC, huge difference.

I would love Korpikoski, i've wanted him for years, but that's very unlikely. More likely are guys that can be had very cheaply. Jokinen (with Carolina eating some of the salary), Raymond, Chimera, etc. They all fill needs and they all are likely very inexpensive.

I just hope DW is taking calls on Boyle and doesn't trade any of the picks we have acquired thus far or any young talent.

I personally think this summer the Sharks should go into rebuild mode and move Thornton and Marleau. Just my opinion. We need to get younger and faster in San Jose IMO!

You can't trade Boyle now because that is pretty much telling the team to throw in the towel. If they are planning to move him it will be on the offseason or at the draft.

I see DW pulling off a deal with one of his buddies.

Carolina-LaRose or Jussi
Colorado-Kobasew
Ottawa-Latendress or Gonchar
Calgary-Como

I don't agree with that. Murray didn't mean as much to this team as Boyle does (On the ice. Murray was a good team guy though), but one could argue trading him is what has lead to this current 5 game winning streak. I don't see the Sharks pulling a "Kings" this season and coming out of nowhere to win the cup. If anything we will see another 1st round exit, so why not trade Boyle when teams will be most interested?

Only taking 1.2 If we send Burish and a pick. Possible.
