2nd round pick for Dominic Moore then we let him walk in the off-season.

No one can predict that, I'd rather keep our team as is and get a 4th liner to replace Armstrong.

Just because he isn't the flashy player doesn't mean he wasn't doing something good for this team.

Islanders should trade Tim Thomas' contract to Calgary over the summer.

Armstrong is likely not even playing if we get Bourque back, why do we need to replace him?

Are there really going to be more significant trades today or will it be the "4 person TSN circle jerk with smartphone non-stop checking feat. occasional insider info from Dreger (who is starting to look like a vampire or at least not very healthy)"?

TSN usually milks stuff like this, but I think most of the work has been done already.

Yep, but the quoted poster was acting like the reason we didn't re-sign him was because he took the year off. Not so.

I doubt it highly.
It's not like were losing Beaulieu. Beaulieu still gets to be as potent as before, except now he wouldn't be expected to eat as many minutes.

The drop off wouldn't be from Yandle to Beaulieu.. it would be the entire D-core stepping up. It be similar to a jump from Yandle to Bouillon.

Oh nice, a smart-ass comment.

If you actually think that Beaulieu will be as good defensively as Keith Yandle, you've given me enough to discard your opinion.

It's probably a moot point anyway. A 1st + Eller wouldn't get it done. Yandle would cost way too much to make a trade worth it.

Just because Therrien has some personal connection to him doesn't mean he's a good hockey player or so valuable he needs to be replaced. Servicable at best, brings nothing to the table that can't be replaced by anyone with two working feet and a hockey stick.
