He looks like an "occasionally scratched version" of Anisin. Petruzalek have tons of skill, he might be the smartest hockey mind on the roster, but his effort sets him back big time.

I heard that if Traktor gets to final Nichushkin might leave for U18 camp/team, is that right?

He will leave exactly. If Traktor will make Gagarin Cup final, they will play there without him. WC U18 starts 18.04.2013

Is the engraving on the Gagarin Cup in Russian? What if a team in a non-Russian speaking country wins? Did KHL ever reveal what would happen then?

yep, the engravings on the cup are the names of the teams that won the cup, along with the years the cup was won in. what will they do in case a non-russian speaking country wins? god knows. but they are creative in this regard. i mean one more queer decision, who cares. thoug the khl is The Russian Open Hockey Championship if i remember correctly

there is a bunch of mediocre teams, but they are no match to rich russian clubs.

Well, Dynamo manages to compete with them and quite easily too thanks to their coaches for the most part. Lev's and Donbass's or maybe even Minsk's rosters are actually really good and if they find the right coaches for their teams, they would be able to compete just as Dynamo does.

This might be what you're talking about for the best Russian team.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_Open_Championship

The KHL is an international league, and I seriously doubt its the equivalent of the Russian championship. GC is not nationally classified.

No, he's correct, and Gagarin Cup winner is also proclaimed the champion of Russia, wherever the team is from. It used to be different (the best finishing Russian team becomes the champion of Russia), but no more

and I heard rumour that since new season Champion of Russia will be determined by results after regular season, not play-off. So, best russian team after regulars becomes russian champion. Nothing official, only rumour.

The problem with "international" is in IIHF rules. FHR delegated its right to organise russian league to KHL. It works like this in Europe, dont know what basics NHL has. Btw, KHL considered to be independent from FHR/IIHF, we will see what happens after Sochi.
