Awesome, Hannen is currently on IR as well.

Brilliant.

Based on the conditions of the pick, I think DW just got him to be the 7th dman.

More like a warm body to keep Burns at forward ... conditional 7th is pretty much for free, so whatever

And you know this how exactly?? From all accounts, the asking prices for defensemen are really high right now. For all you know, Hannan is a 7th defeneseman here and doesn't hit the ice.

Maybe even the 8th if Tennyson keeps it up. I have no problems with this trade, as long as he isn't in the line-up when everyone else is healthy.

Eligible to be re-activated anytime and was already cleared.

I like the condition on the pick, since it implies he's less likely to see ice in the playoffs.

That would imply icing Scott Hannen. I assure you, icing Scott Hannen instead of McCarthy, Kennedy, as a depth forward is beyond stupid.

I can't wait till he gets in a game and everyone is like "wow, he's really really bad". Because he is.

If the Sharks make the playoffs you know that Wilson will force McLellan to play Hannan in order to keep his precious 7th

Also, let's remember how to spell Hannan.

As long as he's #7-8, I'm cool with it.

You've got that reversed.

He doesn't deserve to have his name spelled correctly

Somewhere Owen Nolan is lacing up the skates, doing a few situps, and yelling at his wife to keep the phone lines open and questioning why they still don't pay for call waiting.

No one here can even spell Vlasic right, and you want them to get Hannan?

i would keep him benched and let tenny play at least 1 maybe 2 more games to see if he calms down a bit. Then reevaluate the D.

My mistake, I was under the impression that we traded a 7th that could become a 6th. Nevermind. I guess it's good that we value our 7th round picks so much. It makes it less likely that we'll see him in the playoffs.

I had the same thought. Putting that condition on it is basically saying Hannan is a back-up in case Demers doesn't come back and someone else gets hurt. Clearly Wilson is not expecting Hannan to jump into the top-6.

Unless we go on a losing streak, Tmac won't be stupid enough to fix something that isn't broken.

I just hope Hannan doesn't end up playing over Braun/Demers.
