Good news is buffalo got 2 points tonight and Tampa and Florida are both getting at least 1 since they are in the shootout

Panthers won it. Markstom looked great for the Panthers in the shootout

Stamkos is really mediocre at shootouts.

Markstrom is gonna be a great goalie in this league. I have high hopes for him, though playing for the panthers he probably won't get much spotlight.

I certainly don't recall hearing about Neal being a rampant diver and cheapshot artist, until after he went to Pitt. Asham plays in Pittsburgh, loses his damned mind and goes full-on Phil Spector, then returns to normal in New York after getting out. Then of course, they employ Matt Cooke; many of their fans will have you believe he's misunderstood, but everyone else knows what he really is. And you have Crosby and Malkin leading the way; Crosby, breaking Giroux's wrists on FOs, and Malkin with his long history of sneaky slewfoots while refs aren't watching and variuous cheapshots.

Conclusion: They're a scum organization that turns players into execrable garbage who lack all semblance of discipline. So Cooke is a good fit, I guess.
Another thing about them is that they have no problem handing out the douchebaggery(is that a word?) but when teams give it right back to them they piss and they moan about so and so is dirty. blah, blah, blah.
Yes I know the Flyers aren't exactly saints themselves. But at least we admit how we are. As a wise man once said There's a river in Egypt named Denial.

Everything seems more ugly when it's a rival doing it.

Of course, but Pittsburgh's trend is something I would have noticed regardless of them being a rival. I hate NJ just as much as the Pens, if not more, but I don't consider them a scum organization because they don't routinely turn players into scum.

i didn't think it was possible to hate PITT anymore until that game a couple months ago where James Neal was flopping all over the ice. he skated into voraceks stick, which grazed his helmet and flopped, then went to hit Couturier along the boards, didn't come anywhere near his stick, yet threw his own stick, grabbed his face and went down like he was just sniped.

This was bad. What made it worse was the fans reaction to that. If James Neal is a ****ing tool.

Looks like it was Rusty's stick, but yeah, Neal is scum.

The way Vancouver's media and Front office has handled the Luongo situation is absolutely classless.

Forcing that guy to go through that interview bashing him for his contract making him pretty much untradeable was absolutely classless. The guy just wants to play. He thought a deal had been worked out when he was called off the ice, but it was for this press conference.

And they called him away from practice for that? Wow. Is the org bitter over him flexing his NTC of something?

The guys untradeable right now. It's not his fault he signed a big deal that they offered him. He's still producing for them and seems like a cool guy. He doesn't deserve that. Hopefully Vancouver buys him out. I wouldn't mind him here on a better contract.

I like clowe, especially come playoff time. I think the rags found out they have been successful recently because of grit and work, they tried the Allstar team method of the 2000s and it didn't go well.

The Pens may just find out the All Star thing doesn't always work.

I actually liked the moves the Rangers made the last two days. Got tougher and added more depth back from the Nash trade.

He struggles to go a month without a week or two of shaky or downright bad play. That never bodes well for a PO team.

I just think it's funny how much in denial they are about Fleury. I know Bryz sucks. I don't even waste my time trying to defend him.

Fleury's playoff statistics have been declining every year since he broke into the league. I would have about much faith in him as I do in Bryz if I was a penguins fan.

Clowe had as many goals me all season and all of the sudden he scores 2 against wilting flower....go figure. Having said this..Clowe is an actual good fit in NY. They needed more grit and Gaborik was not a good fit with Torts....

I kind of felt like him getting moved out SJ would light a spark under him. He's too good of player to be goalless and putting up dismal numbers like that.
