Suave is very fast and pretty skilled but he just can't seem to stay healthy. He seems to fit the description of being "made of glass".

Looks like the Hawks just wanted to clear a space for another contract with Flick signed for two more years. Sauve is an RFA at the end of this year and I wouldn't be surprised if they just let him walk with Danault, McNeil, Ross, etc. coming in next year. I thought Flick would be a tough guy who could play some hockey based on his last year of juniors, but they must not have seen enough promise this year.

Well Sauvé has a lot more potentiel. I remember him being a highly touted prospect a few years ago.

Hopefully the balls just needed a Flick to get going.

This trade was done entirely for the Chicago/Boston GMs to laugh at TSN/Sportsnet for talking about it for the next 3 hours.

Flick is loose cannon with major defensive lapses

Had no future with Hawks given talent in system pipelin ,, Getting Suave should help Hogs for playoff run

Sauve was one of the best players I've ever seen in the Q.

He played a pre-season game for the Bruins a few years ago and was the best player on the ice. At the time, he looked like a sure-fire NHLer with plenty of upside.

He has been injured constantly, even in junior. I wish him the best, hope it turns out like the Versteeg trade for Chicago.

Sauvé would be an NHLer by now if not for injuries, poor guy

I hope it doesn't turn out like the Versteeg trade for Boston. Ouch.

For this season... Sauve can be an NHL eventually if he doesn't get hurt. That's a very big if, but he's got skill, no doubt.

Can anyone give us more of a report on Flick? Sounds like a ceiling of a 4th line center hits things, isn't that greatly skilled but has good hockey IQ (basically going off of various sites after I had to google the kid).

He's yappy. Colin Fraser but not as good defensively. He was our fourth line center in the AHL... yea. Not good.

That pretty much sums it up.

At Flick's best, he'd be a big, hard-hitting bottom 6 center that can drop the gloves and elevate his game in crunch time. He got a lot of praise for his role in Mississauga's Memorial Cup run a few years ago, I think maybe even getting an MVP award for it? I can't look that up right now.

He hasn't seemed like much of anything since he reached the pros, but maybe the Bruins can turn that around. For the styles I associate with these teams -- fast Hawks vs. hard Bruins -- this trade makes sense.

Although I think Sauve is the better prospect assuming he can get past the injury issues Bruins fans are talking about. For Flick we'll take him.

Good luck to Sauve, he does have some talent. If he turns out to be another Versteeg, I will only be happy.

Hopefully this works out for both teams. Flick was probably never going to play on the Hawks, but he'll fit in better with the Bruins, and I hope he gets his shot there.

Flick?

Opinion pending youtube inspection...

This kid's a ****ing cement head, and not a very tough 1 lol!

Nice flow though. That's half the battle right there. I'm counting this as a win.
