I'm pretty ambivalent towards "loading up" this year. It's been a season where our team has been very lethargic and there are 3 or 4 other teams out there who are absolutely stacking up and going all-in. Probably not the best mentality to have but I don't think this is our year - better to stand pat and position yourself in such a way that you can take advantage of opportunities in the next season.

I remember listening to Bob McKenzie talking about Morrow and how he's kind of fallen off a bit. Pens also already have depth on defense in their prospect pool. Canucks without Jensen have pretty much nothing.

Did you guys see that paint commercial?
From what I heard, paint is bad for pregnant women.
Bad message.

No team in the West is stacking up. Blues probably made the biggest move.

Those rankings are BS, but either way, it's different because Pitt has a pile of good D prospects, we don't have depth at any position, prospect-wise.

I'm hoping it doesn't cause I don't want to give up Jensen/1st/+ for him and run into cap hell next year.

We have some depth at forward, not quite comparable to the Pens on D but we do have Schroeder, Gaunce, Jensen and Kassian as quality young forwards.

Its just way too big a price to pay either way for an aging rental 3rd liner like that.

I would agree that the Pens can take the loss of picks and prospects better than a lot of teams, but I still don't think those are good trades.
