If this happens and we don't get a good return, we may have lost the Nash trade

I still don't think Gaborik has what it takes to get it done in the playoffs, and I was afraid that this is more than just a down year, but this return is pretty meh. I am fine with trading him, but thought they could do better and would have preferred he ended up not in our division.

Dorsett is injured (collarbone) but is expected to return by the last week of regular season or start of playoffs. Will add grit once back
Awesome trade. I love it now

We agree. Moore is a great pick up.

Yay.

Can't believe we couldn't get a higher pick.

I'm neutral on this trade right now.

Brassard's a very good player. Legit 2nd liner anyway and kind of young. I like Dorsett. He'll fit in well as a 3rd/4th liner--he's gradually over time got to the point where he can add some offense. Not very big but tons of sandpaper and hits a lot. Kind of like a larger version of Jordin Tootoo. Moore is still a young d-man. Former 1st round pick--I'm thinking Kreider's draft year.

Seems like they LOVE Dorsett.

I like Brassard coming back. Finally Boyle will be on the fourth line where he belongs. But Moore is yet another left-handed defenseman. Dorsett will be good for 3rd/4th. It'd be happier if a 2nd round pick was included.

This team is better, this year, after the two moves they made.

As far as next season and beyond....

These guys can turn out to be great for us, but the fact is we just gave a new division rival another good player who will be going all out against us. Half of columbus is NYR players, especially their skill guys
