Who else does Minnesota have coming up the pipeline in the goalie position?
Kuemper who has looked a little better than Hackett this year, small sample size, and Gustafsson is over in Sweden still I think. Don't know much about him but everyone seems pretty high on him.

Man.. Pomminville is good but I'm not sure how I feel about giving up a pretty good goalie prospect, Larsson AND a high pick for a 30 year old with 1 year left on his contract. I would feel a lot better if he was a few years younger or if we could keep the pick. Not to mention I hate parting with Larss.... He's won how many tournaments as a Captain for Sweden and he's only 20.. Not to mention he has some decent skill and a work ethic that is Parise-like.. He's going to be a 2nd line C at worst IMO. He's got enough skill, and the desire he has is unrivaled. I think Buffalo is getting a hell of a deal here. Interested to hear what Fletcher has to say once this thing is a done deal.

He's a center, and one of the very few center prospects the Wild had. Most of their "centers" look to be wingers in the NHL.

If the Sabres landed a 1st and 2nd that's a fantastic trade for them as well. I like the move for both teams, big price to pay but I think he will do well for the Wild

Overpayement by the Wild if what I read about Larson and Hackett are correct

Pominville is going to get pummeled out west

EDIT: wait Minnesota might have also sent PICKS alongside?!!

I would think it makes a draft day trade more likely.

This is a good trade for the Wild assuming the return is only Larsson and Hackett. Larsson is a great prospect.

Let's just say if there was a 2010 re-draft, Larsson would have gone late in the 1st round.

2 high picks are way too much.

Buffalo fans, Larsson is a stud. Captain material.

Sure Minnesota isn't adding a 1st and Buffalo throws in a 2nd? That makes more sense.

If it's Larsson + Hackett + 1st then wow amazing return for Buffalo, if no pick, then just a meh return.
