Good trade for both teams. Flames fans hated Comeau.

Columbus needs bodies to make up for the Gaborik trade. So they flip a pick and get one.

The 2013 NHL Trade Deadline brought to you by the Columbus Blue Jackets.

It's like when the clown forgets to show up for a kid's birthday party and the drunk father feels the need to step in and entertain everyone.

Joking aside, has Comeau played well enough to warrant being traded for a pick? I remember when he played himself out of NY for playing like piss for us. Ended up on the waivers.

Yeah, this return is about as good as it gets for Comeau. First move I've seen where Calgary fans haven't been despondent in the thread.

Bye Comeau! Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out!

P.S. Don't come back!

Not really. That's why we're excited just to get SOMETHING for him, considered we picked him up for free.

He was so useless. We've tried him on every line in every position. Can't hit, can't score, can't cycle, can't pass. Ugh GOOD-BYE!

But he was on the first line in Calgary. Woe is me.

Hey Columbus, get used to these moves:

Comeau enters the zone with the puck. He will

1) shoot from the top of the circle (and miss),
2) skate behind the net and lose a puck battle, or
3) put himself offside

Enjoy.

I do not get the point of this trade. Comeau adds, like, nothing.

Meh. Could work.

haha so true.

Man Comeau has the speed and stick handling ability to be a good player, but just cannot seem to put it together somehow. He plays like a brain damaged Matthew Lombardi.

We had a few years of Jason Chimera; we know what this looks like.

Haha yup. He's dumb as a post, or he'd be quite a good third line guy.

Kidding aside, he's a good depth / energy player and on the fourth line (not the first where we seem to play him) is probably a good fit.
