Wow, I never really thought it was going to happen, but damn. Best of luck to Pommer, he deserves a chance at the cup.

One of the true Sabres of the past several years. Worked his way from a guy skipped over on the waiver wire to a top line player. Did anything and everything asked of him. He'll be missed on the ice.

Good luck in Minny, unless we have Minny's first then please have a first round exit

Solid quality guy. Good player. Not so good leader or captain.

Good luck in Minnesota

Man, after last year I thought Pommer was gonna be a Sabres captain for life...sad to see him go. Lots of great memories, great RJ goal calls...but at least he's on a team I can definitely pull for. Go Wild.

Good for Pominville, I hope he does well over in Minny.

I'll never EVER forget the Ottawa goal and my dad running over and headbutting the TV he was so excited.

One of my favorite all time Sabres. Will never forget the population of Pominville from Rick J, some classic calls that will never be forgotten. Best moment the goal in the playoffs when he went around Alfredsson and scored the game winner. You will be missed! =/

great moment in franchise history

didn't a veteran on Ottawa disrespect Pominville before the series?

I'll miss Pommer.

I didn't really feel any connection to Leopold, and even Regehr.

But Pommer was here a long time, and had some franchise-marking moments (series clinching OT shorty vs Ottawa).

Minny's get a great guy and a great player.

I always thought Pommer would be a Sabre for life. At least we got a big return in trade.

Thanks for the memories, especially the Scary Good goal.

Thanks for all those seasons of perfect attendance, and for consistently showing up in the box score, year after year, no matter who your linemates were.

Best of luck in Minnesota - I'll be pulling for you in the playoffs this year! (and probably for the next 2-3 years as well - ugh.)

Ballsy play, from a (then-ballsy) guy, on a (then-ballsy) team.

Sadly, I hope, aided through JPomm's departure, the Buffalo Sabres can soon return to the entertainment, excitement, performance, and achievement of that '06 team.
