Hopefully the trade deadline came and went and all we lost was a 3rd round pick.

Sources indicate Bruins still have a trade they're waiting to become official. Doesn't sound like it's a major deal, however #BruinsTalk

Fairly shocked we didn't make a bigger move involving our 1st or 2nd.

You have to give credit to Homer though, he'd didn't make a big splash, but getting rid of Leighton for Mason is a step up that was needed, especially since we have an actual back-up now.

All we've acquired is scrubs. Mason, Rosehill and Hall.

I would have definitely broken my back to trade Read because he becomes either a UFA or RFA next year I'm not sure.

EDIT: Mainly because we have literally everyone else to resign.

Yep. Nothing to be truly disgruntled about today.

UFA after next year.

It also might be possible to move him at the draft.

They have a whole year left to trade or resign Matt Read. I'm glad he's still here.

To acquire Bishop, our Cory Conacher could have been a Brayden Schenn, a Read or a Sean Couturier.

I'm happy Holmgren declined.

Mason gets fresh start.

The actual backup has an .899 SV % in his last 175 games...

Mason who is a UFA and who may walk away. So we gave up a 3rd for nothing. I'm OK with getting rid of Leighton, but what's the point at this point in the season. It's practically over.
