The goal at 1:16 against the Bruins is absolutely filthy. Unbelievable skill with the puck and then just casually places a lazer beam top cheese off the inside crossbar. There were 4 Bruins backchecking against 2 Habs and all are left wondering what the hell just happend.

The one at 1:34 against Cam Ward is amazing as well. From the camera in the corner, you see he has like 2 inches to shoot at and has like a split second to shoot it.

Him playing with Samsonov should be insane, hopefully it clicks. They will create space for each other; teams will have trouble putting 2 guys on him.

seeing clips of Kovalev, Crosby and Ovechkin on youtube doesn't help my patience. I can't wait till hockey gets here.

Somehow I think Kovalev and Samsonov can light it up themselves regardless who's in the middle. A line of Samsonov-Bonk-Kovalev may click. Bonk is defensive minded who can skate. He can take care of the defensive side of the game for that line.
If it works, no one will complain about Bonk and his salary. Looking forward to it.

Bonk would be nice to see on the 2nd line.. but I would be happy if Ribeiro cam to play every night and put up 70+ points!

I believe that Bonk will comfortably take the 2nd line centre position from Ribiero. He's a got good size 6'3" 220lbs, and is positionally very good. I think we could see 50-60 points out of him this year just like when he was playing with Hossa & Havlat in Ottawa.

Can't wait to be proven right or wrong!!

There's some chance you're right..
After all, it was the first time Bonk played outside of Ottawa in how many years? Some guys take a long time to adapt to a new environment... the guy lost his friends and all

I love watching skill players like that. Can't wait for this season.

But please... at some point in time... even if for only one game...

Let's see a Samsonov - Koivu - Kovalev line. You know, like just for one game, if, I don't know, let's say Ribeiro gets hurt or something and the others are healthy...

Samsonov - Koivu - Kovalev
Higgins - Plekanec - Ryder
Perezhogin - Bonk - Johnson
Murray - Begin - Downey/Lapierre/Ferland

I CAN'T WAIT!

I like your 1st line!!!!!

kind of a dream line i would have put together 3-4 yrs ago.

it might not be a bad idea to try this lineup out of the gate and see(with Ribs on the second line and bonk back on the 4th with pleks back centering the 3rd with begin/johnson and perez on his wing's. At least give it a try at some point. That first line could be one of the most dangerous lines we have put together in many many years.

a well balanced first line IMO

as nice as that first line would be, it leaves the second line unbalanced.
by spreading koivu and kovalev apart we can creat 2 threatening lines which some teams will have trouble to contain both. we could combine the 3 on an important power play perhaps, or at the end of a game trailing by a goal, but for regular play it is more benificial to keep them seperate imo

What he's on his game, he's one of the best in the league.

I hope he can be more consistant this season.
