Well Carlyle could make him look decent.

not bad... good D depth for the playoffs. only gave up a 4th.

I"m glad he didn't go all out and make epic mistakes or big deals.

Love the Habs fans trolling us. Must be anger over losing out on Clowe/Jagr. O'Byrne is a head scratcher move but he is depth in case a player gets injured. We don't have to play him.

O'Byne fifth in QoC, .905 on-ice SP%. Seems decent enough for a 4th rounder, good depth move by Dave Nonis?

2014 4th round pick for a depth upgrade over Holzer? I'll take that.

He'll rotate in and out with Kostka as the 7th/8th defenseman.

At least Ottawa fans will stop talking about getting him for Regin. O'Byrne is really not good. Confused about this deal.

I don't understand why everyone is so upset about this. It's a 4th in 2014 for a guy we might not play, whose more likely there for depth so we don't have to play kostka.

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhh **** off Ryan O'Byrne you big useless tree.

Though I'm not sure if I should be concerned since Toronto are my 2nd favourite team and he was really helping our tank in Colorado. Though I'll assume that with a competent coach and system, he'll be much better in Toronto than he was in Colorado.

Oh and Kostka's better, trust me.

Not really a head scratcher. It's really Nonis's modus operandi. Trade mid round picks for snot at the deadline.

A 4th round pick isn't a bad price at all for a bottom pairing guy, not to mention one of the tougher players in the league.

O'Byrne has been bad this year, but I think Carlyle will get decent play out of him.

O'Byrne was quite good with Liles two years ago, when Liles could compensate for O'Byrnes poor puck skills.

You obviously haven't seen him play this year.

Go look at the last 5 game highlights for Avs and look who is on for every goal against.

That being said, behind a decent system, he probably will be better. He needs to play with a puck mover. He has no puck skills at all.

This isn't really a deal that I can get mad at since it's so minor, but I just don't see how he slots into your team.
