Johnson Recalled, Richardson Activated

Both big boosts for our defense, which looks like what now?

Anyone have a better timeline of our other injuries?

Richardson played.

Johnson did not.

Stevie K seemed to think that Rusty would be the next D-man back... then spacho...

They might want to have an extra d man for Dallas in the back to back. Still have Pushor so there might be an injury that someone played through but was a game time decision. Or maybe Doug wasn't sure he could watch Walser for another game and considered using Johnson in his place.

I think Walser has played well lately. Does he have the odd bad turnover? Yes. But if we scored 3 or more goals on a consistent basis, they wouldnt be as glaring.

Walser has improved over last season, but is not consistent enough to be logging the 20 minutes a game he has been playing. It sems that for every good thing that he does (and there are many, including shooting the puck from the blueline) he has something else go dreadfully wrong. He is experienced enough now that he has to stop making the bad decision or taking the stupid penalty. I would love to see him step up his game to where ihe could be considered a solid number 6 but I still feel more confident with Wally playing either 10 minutes or watching from the press box.
