I'm not too mad. He passes the "Better than Kosto and Clarkson" test in my book.

edit: I'm only slightly kidding on Clarky

Ouch, Sullivan has 5 goals this season, and the last one was a month ago on March 2nd. The last one before that was over a month before, and he had a hat trick the game before that against the CBJ in the third game of the season on January 23rd.

Probably have to arrange a wheelchair at airport, you gotta book in advance for that.

Great, another borderline NHL player to add to our glut of bottom 6 forwards.

Tom Gulitti ‏@TGfireandice now

There were opportunities to do other trades, but cost was too much in terms of Devils' future.

he's way too young for this band of retirement home farts. it makes sense to trade for a 38 year old when you're already one of the older teams in the league. it also makes sense to not trade one of your 8 defenseman for a pick when you only have 3 picks in the whole draft THAT YOU'RE HOSTING.

Well, at lest Lou did something that has a slim chance of actually helping. I was already resigned to no trades at all.

Lou will be able to pick up an extra pick or two before the draft - and we now are the oldest team in the league!

I thought we already were the oldest team in the league? Mostly skewed by our goaltenders.

We have our 1st, 2nd, 4th and 6th round pick. Not sure how that equals 3 picks. And it's not like the 5th and 7th are worth a damn.

Devils have four picks (1st, 2nd, 4th, 6th). 90% of the crowd leaves after the host's first round pick anyways, so why sweat not having a 3rd/5th/7th? Especially when that 5th netted Loktionov and the 3rd was conditional on making the ECF last year.

It's basically like we drafted Lokti in the 5th and we didn't have to wait for him to develop like a normal 5th rounder would have. No problem with that at all.

1997 called. He said Steve Sullivan still sucks. Anyways, this is a great pickup if you like washed up under sized forwards.

And yet he is somehow tied in points with our 8th best scorer.

Not really sure how anyone has a problem with this. He'll just push the other **** we have in our lineup out. He's not a top six guy, but he can put some points up and will help on the PP. I'm fine with this. If we can stay in a reasonable position by the time Kovy is back I think we can squeak our way in. Everyone needs to calm down.

You're right, but 2nd round picks ARE worth a damn. And we most likely could've had one if we moved Zids. We need to get some youth not get old turds.

WOW! tied for 8th on a horrendous offensive team! that's amazing! the move was useless and was in my opinion just to humor the fans.
