Sharks gave up too much, the 7th will be the next Datsyuk, you just wait and see!

Had no idea Hannan went that downhill. Still though for a conditional seventh, why not? If it's for depth and he'll be the seventh or eighth defenseman I think it's okay. Let's hope for Sharks fans' sake he doesn't get over-played. Hopefully McLellan uses him right and it won't be so bad.

Good trade for the Preds though getting something for a guy they weren't wanting to play and who is a UFA in the summer.

#SJSharks conditional deal for Hannan: NSH gets 7th round pick, but if he sees action in a playoff game, that moves up to 6th.
SJ won't make the playoffs anyways so it'll be a 7th.

Lots of hysteria in here over grabbing a depth defenceman for, at worst, a 6th round pick.

Barring 2-3 injuries, he'll see very little ice time. Calm down.

Decent depth but he sucked here. Problem was Trotz kept trying to play him as a top 4, top PK'er and he got annihilated.

That wasn't your point, your point was that the Sharks aren't making the playoffs, not that they aren't locks.

You like Torres better than Hannan?

This. He is a known quantity in SJ, can be a limited backup plan for 3rd pairing, and is a cheap pending UFA. Good move for both teams involving a very mediocre depth player.

(Trivia question: Hannan currently ranks as the 3rd slowest Pred's defenseman in the history of the franchise.... can you name #1 and #2?)

Feels like yesterday we traded him for Fleischmann. Good to see him back in SJ though, he's never really looked right anywhere else to me.
