Having Mike Richards as my absolute favorite player, it disgust me a bit that he's going to wear #18. But I guess it's time to move on now, lol. I have nothing against the deal at all though.

So... Im guessing the lineup will look like:

Read-Giroux-Voracek
Hartnell-Schenn-Simmonds
Gagne-Couturier-Knuble
Rinaldo-Hall-Fedotenko

Or maybe the last two lines (if Lavy still doesnt want to play Couturier on the 3rd line and Rosehill is playing over knuble)

Gagne-Hall-Fedotenko
Rinaldo-Couturier-Rosehill

What a true waste of Couturier's skill.

Exactly ! But we have alot of nutjobs on here that will do nothing but harp about Homer getting him etc.......MOST of our aquisitions of late have beem moves that Homer has pretty much had to make due to injuries etc, like Knuble, etc.....I give him credit for having a go at it...Its so easy for folks after a few weeks to say the idiot signed, knuble, or Hall, or a 7 defenceman etc etc, but they forget ( on purpose at times just to score hate Homer points ) to remember the circumstanes at the time and why it was important to fill in a slot........I liked Hall at Tampa, wish him well with our club.

I'm not really sure what your point is. Almost everyone has liked the Hall signing.

It will be nice to have someone good a winning face offs on the fourth line. It has been a long time coming.

i really do miss richie (even though i love the return) so i was thinking the same but maybe it's just better to get it over with now in what remaining of this terrible shortened season. who knows if hall will be back and it's not like 18 was gonna be retired someone was gonna wear it eventually so might as well do it now.

After Dave Poulin was traded, two guys wore 20 later that same season.

imo, these lines would look better:

McGinn - Couturier - Rinaldo -> This line has got some pretty damn good talent, young, toughness, grit, speed etc. I like this.
Gagne - Hall - Fedotenko [Knuble / Rosehill] -> Decent 4th line with a guy who has good size and is great on face-offs add to him 2 veterans on wingers and you got what you need, solid 4th line. There's possible to play Knuble or Rosehill for some matches.

But really, why not play McGinn over Knuble or Rosehill?

So we have a guy who cost zilch and wins face offs and fills a gap that Talbot left? Cool with me
