I wished the Flyers traded JVR for Halak. That trade would have served both of our clubs.

Meh. I don't know how I feel about that. I'm pretty happy with Bryz and Luke so I'm glad we didn't do that.

I never meant it to mean that he was the reason for success. Only that after the Flyers finished close to last and subsequently drafted JVR, did the Flyers find some success with an ECF and than a SCF presence. By losing the flyers were able to find success quickly, unlike a lot of teams who get to draft 2nd overall.

Feels like this is one of those years. You can't make up for injuries, but you can at least get in better position to draft the best player for your organization.

I guess with Halaks injury problems, he is hard to gauge. But you are happy with Bryz? I would think you are the only one. It seems like a high possibility he will have to be one of the amnesty buyouts considering he isn't performing anywhere near the money he signed for. If Luke makes up for what Bryz takes, than alright.

Anyone else listening to this nonsense JJ is spouting right now about how the "recent acquisitions" they are "hoping helps them climb the standings" and how "Homer was aggressive because he had holes to fill - (Clement)"

Then they showed Rosehill, Mason, Huskins and Hall. :|

It's their job. It's like expecting Dave Spadaro to give you unbiased news about the Eagles.

He'll be given another year. Not gonna turn this into a Bryz thread cause it will go on forever like the other one. But he's been very good but has also been pretty bad. But our defense is atrocious he has no backup and is left out to dry a lot. I'd love to see what he could do if we had better defenseman and tightened it up. I'm not the only one who feels that way. About 30% of fan base agrees with me.

Yea I got you. If we don't go on a run at this point I'm fine with it. Lets chalk it up as a ****** season and go from there. the pieces are in place. Just need to make a few more moves and we will be right back where we want to be.

Ron Hextall the last to do that -- 24 years ago, per radio.
