I've only seen him play 7 or 8 times, but he looks a hell of a prospect for Florida.

Yeah, that isnt happening, not like Bjugstad would have even been made available for a Luongo trade. The Panther net is occupied for the rest of the decade with Markstrom. The kid is just getting better and better each game, and Im hoping the Panthers send him back to San Antonio, only because I do not want him messing with our top pick

That is a DEEP forward pool with young talent blended in.
Im all for MacKinnon, and hope they land one of the top picks in hopes of drafting him. I think that Drouin would be the pick for Tallon though. Im fine with either one TBH, and a top line of Drouin/Mac-Bjugstad-Huberdeau should give us sufficient scoring in the future I think Bergenheim-Goc-Kopecky is one of the best 3rd lines in the league, so the Panthers really need to get a center for Fleischmann and Steeger, that is if Weiss does not return. In a couple of seasons, once these upcoming rookies get some NHL icetime, we should be a pretty decent scoring team.

He could get to around 6-7/8, 230 or so pounds. That is almost like putting Chara at center

Yea.. he's got lots of potential. Pretty close to untouchable for Florida, considering their centre depth.

great move for the Panthers.

I love Bjugstad as he is just one of those kids that has so much raw talent and potential that we havent seen yet.

Some really great college players turning pro this year with Bjugstad now joining Jon Merrill, Matt Nieto, and Jacob Trouba... Cant wait to see all these young Americans in the NHL very soon!

I expected 2 years ago that by next season the Panthers are going to look like the 09 Hawks...soooo much young talent there, need to piece a few vets in there as well, but the Panthers next year with the likely addition of a Mackinnon or Drouin will be one heck of an exciting team to watch. The retirement homes will be rocking down in FLA baby!!

Oh wow. Congrats, Panthers fans! I've watched a fair amount of Gopher games this past year and he's just an incredible player.

He has a better shot and is much more effective at utilizing his size than Colborne. Im not really sure who Bjugstad best compares to, people say jeff carter but Bjugstad plays more a power game and doesnt have Carter's skating ability

Possibly around a 70 point player, scoring 30 goals with ease. I'd love to see him play with Kyle Rau in a few years.
