What could cause a team to play poorly for just one game?

No, but Regehr certainly couldn't have hurt.

Do you watch or understand the game of hockey or just look at stat lines?

This is an honest question because your comment confuses me because right now I'm assuming you didn't watch this game.

Bring on the rationalizations. Let's go, let's hear your bs.
Well the way I keep hearing Bergevin talk about it, is that he's not an all-in guy. And he builds this team to become a force for tons of consecutive years. Fine if it works. Yet, I still don't believe we have the mix to be good in the regular season AND in the playoffs. I still believe that this D is rather ordinairy and couldn't get fix over a trade deadline day. Or they are overrating their team which is not tough to do based on how the season plays out. But I will always believe they are not dumb and know that it's extremely fragile.

look at that. the Price bashers come out yet again after a loss. pathetically predictable.

just a terrible game overall. Zero passion whatsoever. A game you just have to forget.

I actually think that mattered. Cause this team is not used to get out of their game plan and get into an emotion game.

Habs simply didnt have it tonight. Probably one of their worst efforts of the season.

Sitting 2nd in the Eastern Conference, you would assume we have played some decent hockey. So yeah logic states that lets overreact to one loss. Seriouslyu, after Bruins fans I probably hate Habs fans the most

Halpern, Price and Gallagher were great tonight. DD was is usual hot-and-cold self, some awful defensive plays and no-look giveaways, some good tenacious play. Patches looked lanky and weak, especially against Simmonds in the third. Ryder had some good shots off, classic Ryder. Gionta is never good, he's been a game-breaker for maybe two games out of this season - the rest of the time he's been carried by Pleks, and tonight he was bad yet again. Eller and Galchenyuk were trying hard but couldn't get their timings right. Hopefully they kick ass tomorrow. Prust was good.

Well .. that SUCKED! price played awesome... but people on both teams need to stop kicking the puck passed price though FFS! i dont think any of the goals were really his fault but 3 of em were deflected off skates and he had no chance on em.

aside from a few select players (subban, gallager, galchenyuk.. maybe a couple more) the team played like **** ... thank god we haven`t had to watch many games like this through out the season.

hope plecks is ok cause we really noticed him missing in this game

We wouldn't want to use a logical choice on a NHL team would we? No, instead let's make sure Papa Budaj is happy since that's what really matters. Price hasn't won in Philly since 2008. Bad call, MT.

Montreal minus 4 regulars and Plekanec left the game early.

Price played great tonight...3 goals off our own defenders, such bad ****ing luck.

Here are two positive things from the game tonight, Prusts beauty and Desharnais goal. Bryz was pitiful on both

90% of the people ITT that call themselves Habs fans are just bandwagoners that stick by our players when they're playing well on 5 game win streaks but the second we lose 1 game every player sucks all hope is lost. Next game we win I guarantee every one will be saying how great our team is again.

Only if they break up the atrocious Markov-Emelin fiasco, and Regehr isn't a top 4 anymore either.

Brewskie wasn't even that bad and definitely wasn't the worst defenseman tonight.

You play your better goalie against the Flyers on the road and your worser goalie against the former Atlanta Thrashers at home. Pipe down already.

I think MT needs to take the leash off of Galchenyuk. He needs to move up in the lineup.
