Flames' 3 1sts vs. Columbus' 3 firsts

Just for fun and discussion :

If the season ended today, Calgary would have picks #3, 15, and 29 overall. Columbus would have picks #11, 13, and 21 overall.

Which package of 3 picks (as a whole) has more value? I would suspect most people would rather have Calgary's package of picks, given the strength of the top 3/top 5 of the draft, but depending on the team, if they value depth, they may prefer Columbus' picks.

For me, as a Sens fan, I'd rather have Calgary's picks, but I'm curious about other people's opinions.

Calgary. If they don't screw up 3rd overall might even get you Seth Jones..

Calgary's picks and it really isn't close. Although CBJ could very well do better with theirs since they have Jarmo drafting.

Calgary. if everything goes right they get Mackinon, Drouin or jones. Great building block.

Following mynhldraft.com,
http://www.mynhldraft.com/NHL-Mock-Draft/

Calgary gets: Mackinnon, Erne and Bowey
Columbus gets: Zadorov, Wennberg, Lazar

I take Calgary's package for Mackinnon/ Drouin alone

Calgary. 3rd overall is probably worth as much as Columbus's package combined.

Calgary and it's not close, unless they mess it up.

Not to say Columbus won't get some nice players though.

Yeah, the top 3 in the draft is absolutely loaded. I take Calgary.

Yeah, because that was a tough decision. He couldn't screw that one up.

not close with the top 3 pick... Would be debatable if that was a 6th overall instead of 3rd.. It is a deep draft so may not be a huge dropoff between a 6th and 11th...

That's like giving Craig Patrick credit for drafting Crosby.

Kind of hard to go wrong when you have a 1st overall and Stamkos is on the board that year.

Knowing Feaster, he will trade down the #3 pick and get a high school kid.

Calgary, AINEC. You also have to consider that the draft is top 5 heavy.

Calgary want the 11th, 13th, 15th, 21st, and 29th overall? You guys could draft fully 1/6th of the 1st round.

We'll trade you for the 3rd overall.

Nichushkin is amazing. Should be top 3 if not for him being in the KHL.
