..But then there's an argument even when we whooped our biggest rival, so how about we agree that beer is great?

Moore was paired with Eminger. He played a solid game.

****ing ridiculous all the new guys score, hits all over, and we dominate the pens 6-1. Just unf***ingbelievable. I'm scared for Friday though..and scared of Torts teaching these guys his system. Just let em play! Let Cally coach or something lol!

For the people saying "we've watched all season" and they just revert.. can we at least wait until that happens, You haven't been watching this team all season, because in just the last 2 days, this team has 4 new players. Maybe they fit better than Gaborik and others and provide a better overall team? who knows. lets at least wait, and they do deserve SOME credit for kicking Pittsburgh's ass all over the ice tonight.

I am excited at how great they looked, but I will reserve judgement on how this team has really changed until exactly 10 games from now. By then we will have a nice chunk to judge by.

The Rangers required a change.

The change has occurred. Looks good, and I am not saying that simply because they won. It is HOW they won.

I'm OT here, but I want to see the Penguins fail. Actually, there are quite a few knowledgeable hockey analysts who know that the Penguins are not at all a shoo-in, not at all.

My own opinion is that the Penguins have hit bad luck, along with too much roster change.
They are not as good as many think they are.

You're only as good as your last game. I'd like to see a repeat effort, but the Pens are pissed and at home.

Hank needs to hold the fort for the first 10 mins. Ill be shocked if we don't see one of the Pens' better efforts this season.

If the Rangers win, man it could really kickstart their playoff drive.

i think we'd be fools not to note that the Penguins played about as horrible as any team has played this year. They looked AAAWWWFFFUUULLLLL.

They missed Letang a ton...probably more than Crosby.

I don't miss Gaborik lazily skating around hoping for a rebound one bit.

In all seriousness, the effort was there... The hitting was there. It's all we can ask for going forward. The Pens were apocalyptically bad... But we hit the crap outta them all night.

Were all of Brassard's points on the backhand?

They looked exceptional tonight - confidence boosted now, keep it up.

Granted this was against a damaged Pens team, but its still a very dangerous Pens team. I'm looking forward to Friday, but I know my Rangers, so it should be interesting.

I don't actually think the Penguins were so bad in the first period. To me, that period looked a lot like what the Rangers looked like last year, moreso than any other period we've played all season. Tenacious forecheck, physical play, defensive prowess, good goaltending, timely goals.

The rest of the game, the Penguins were terrible. Pretty obviously gassed. Back-to-backs are killer in the short season.

Haha yeah, he was pretty fun and funny in that interview which is nice to see too. Must be a great atmosphere going on over there right now and they can benefit from that I'm sure.

They peaked too early last year and ended up backing into the playoffs. Will we see a repeat performance?

The Penguins were having their problems, but it would have been a Rangers win anyway, I think.

The Rangers surprised the heck out of me with how they went to the net. Almost unheard of, in any recent season, on a consistent basis.

Good job NYR!! you did good stuff.

I agree with this. Hopefully we can play just as strong on Friday as well. It's too bad Hank lost the shutout tonight.

Frankly, if they can repeat last year I'd be happy considering how awful they've looked so far save for a few games. Getting another shot with that type of roster after the idiotic dismantling would be among the biggest get out of jail free card Sather will ever get.

Speaking of, if this team was about to mutiny in their coach, not only do I not think we would have played so well tonight against Pittsburgh, but I don't think Torts would look so comfortable in interviews and press conferences. I think the guys genuinely really like him as a coach and everyone in the room was just frustrated with the struggles we've experienced this season.

That being said, I hope we continue to play like this. I've always been a fan of Brassard and wanted us to trade for him as early as last season (possibly even in a package with Nash). I think he'll excel in his role as a third line center and we will finally have a guy with a ton of talent playing in that position.
