I saw no problem with Bryzgalov's performance tonight.

He didn't duck under the shot, he dropped down to stop it and it deflected over him. Sometimes it seems like most of the people posting here have no clue what they are talking about...
Bryzvhas been more than good enough.... The defense hasnt. The flyers are where they are because of bad pinches and turnovers at thier own blue line.

Thanks for the laugh before I go to bed. This post is full of false information.

I was there also.He dropped to stop the puck and when it deflected he tried to glove it.
You all laugh but what is truly funny is the armchair goaltenders who think a guy in the NHL is afraid of a weak shot from the half boards...

Either way it was a horrible goal. Roman Cechmanek is sitting somewhere disappointed with that effort by Bryz.

Something's SERIOUSLY wrong if a goalie's first instinct for a puck heading towards him is to duck to avoid it.

Most goalies at least make an attempt to get in the way of it.

It was... It was also a bit flukey with the dipping action. Regardless, this team has way more to worry about than the goaltending IMHO.

Except his first instinct to stop the low shot taken is butterfly and when it deflects this funny thing called momentum happens...

When you combine his contract with the .906 Sv pct over the course of 92 games started, there's a whole lot to be worried about. Especially when you consider that he isn't exactly a victim either, his play has been noticeably subpar.

Sure, but why did he have to move his head downwards? Specifically, out of the way of the puck?

Yet he had enough time to raise his arms above his shoulders.

He ducked.

Since the Rutgers basketball/dodgeball coach is now out of a job, we should hire him to peg pucks at Bryz during practice.

Did he try to make the save and fail, or was he scared of the puck?

It can't be both, and it can't be neither.

I think he tried and failed. It happens.

He won.

I was six rows above you. That was quite the duck job... couldn't believe my eyes.

bull.

Go look at how a goalie goes into a butterfly to stop a low shot.

Then look at this joke:

And ignore the announcers. It must be the flyers' broadcast because there's some serious homerism there to not see THAT HE DUCKED.

Bryz didn't even close the 5 hole (which, last time I checked, when goalies go down into the butterfly that's part of the reason they do it). He flat out DUCKED. He got ripped on national TV for ducking the shot.

That's not a good hockey play. He friggen ducked to avoid the puck.

I believe it's called towing the company line. Coatsey has yet to see a penalty the Flyers have been worthy of in his entire career of Flyers broadcasting. All three of them are big time Flyers apologists when comes to stuff like that.

It was hilarious seeing them trying to defend Leighton's horrid start against Tampa earlier this year.

You heard the man. That funny thing called momentum happened. In particular, its conservation. Puck goes up, Bryz's head goes down. Can't have someone so in touch with the universe disobeying one of its basic laws, now can you?

Of course he tried and failed. That's what we are taking about. And of course he wasn't "afraid" of the puck. But you have to be blind to not see he moved his head down as the puck went up. Why did he do it? Maybe his first instinct. Either way it was bad.

Is there a gif of this anywhere? My DirecTV crapped out early on in the game and I missed it.
