He's still a ways behind... would be nice if he used these final 12 games to make that case though.

Nice win tonight. Big game against van tommorow these next couple games aren't going to be rollovers like tonight's. In a great world a win tommorow and a St. Louis loss would look really good but it's going to be tough playing a team like the Canucks on a back to back. Lets just hope the top line keeps rolling

I'll admit--when the game finally came on and it was 2-0 for the Flames, I wasn't expecting an 8-2 Oilers' victory, but, man, it was a lot of fun.

Question: How can a guy send Jay Feaster some flowers?

Screw Detroit, catch Minnesota.

If they're going to drop every ****ing game to every team we're chasing, we're coming for the division title.

I’m sorry — Edmonton finished where last year, caller? Want to wager on where we finish relative to Edmonton this year? I’m tired of this question, I’ll tell you very honestly. I’m getting a little sour. How many teams . . . every year, for the last 10 years, five years, eight years, have finished in the bottom five, bottom seven, bottom 10? They’ve had a pick anywhere from No. 1 to No. 10 year after year after year after year, and they still wander in the desert. And they’re no closer to getting out than they were 10 years ago.
“You know what? I look forward to the Battle of Alberta for the next X number of years. If the idea is, ‘Burn it to the ground,’ then Ken can find another manager to do it.”
Jay Feaster, September 1, 2011

I love this quote so much.

Terry Jones just tweeted this.

Anybody else notice the Oilers have now scored one more goal than they've given up? Were like minus 18 or something the other day.
Pretty impressive.

Train this guy with Roberts next summer and he will be a force. Selke/Hart/Art Ross, he will win one, homer statement w/e but when I see him he has top 5 vision in the NHL.

Hall had found his game to. Making great plays and still has an elite shot.

Yakupov moves back into Calder talks

But yeh, never want to see that start again
Sooooo...you turned off the game ...hahahaha

I'm so sad Minnesota couldn't help out the Oilers tonight after the Oil stopped Vancouver in their tracks

It's no so much the bags that turned things around as it was when the team getting boo'd off the ice.

Have they lost a game since that home game that they got boo'd off the ice? Anyone have the numbers?

But still, keep with what's working. Keep the bags on.

Agreed. Not once did I want him fired, I actually think he's been doing a pretty good job all season. He's got the young guys playing legitimate top line roles, including much improved defensive capabilites and with leadership duties. He is slowly working Yakupov in, much the same that Hall, Eberle and RNH had happen during their rookie years, IIRC, and it's been working quite well, as Yak's defense seems to have improved big time.

I am loving how the Oil went for the throat, and then proceeded to tear open the jugular. I wanted them to bury the Flames, but I never expected this.

Can't wait for tomorrow's game!! Nice to see all of us fans cheering for the Oilers instead of slinging **** at each other. Still a ton of work to do but good times.

This is a good quote from Krueger, keep the work ethic up and dig deep:

Edmonton Oilers ‏@EdmontonOilers 14m

"The standings don't interest me at all right now. They only count after 48." - Krueger on the Oilers being in 8th place.
