@Russostrib
Brian Lawton says on Sportsnet he schooled previous #mnwild regime into 5-yr, $14 million deal for Parrish. "Biggest inequity" deal as agent.
Well, thanks for that....and **** you Riser.

That same #mnwild regime bought out Parrish 2 years into that 5-year deal; #mnwild still paying Parirish $927K a year til next year
Ahhh....the gift that keeps on giving.

Just wanted to pop in and say while I hate the way he handled the offseason and I still will always hate your owner. Good to see Suter getting respect. He's a good guy and one of the leagues best defensemen. Good for him.

Put those eggs in one basket. Why not?

Seto would add some speed and a shooter to that top line. Coyle would work the puck along the boards and isn't too fast for Heatley. And Heater/Brodz worked well with Johnson last year.

Bouchard - Larsson - Clutterbuck
Rupp - Konokpa - Mitchell
I actually like these lines.

I wonder how much tinkering Yeo will be doing? Unfortunately, I don't see Coyle moving off that top line. I'll give him, he has played better, but imo, he still is just not ready, and really does not add enough to justify taking that spot from another player, such as Seto.

They already tried this, it didn't work.

Heatley should not be anywhere near out top line, nor our #1 pp unit. He's just not good enough anymore.

It takes way more than just a good shot to justify taking a top line position, especially when we have other, better options. Hell, Coyle has been more effective on that top line, at least he can cycle and move faster than a dead slug.

Heatley was atrocious on the 1st line. He does not belong there.

Agreed....Heatley shouldn't go anywhere near the top line.

I never had a problem with Parrish or his contract. Don't feel he got a fair shake. And I think they should have given him one more year before the buyout.

That's what I'm anticipating too, tho I think he will be reluctant to break up the top line. The other three will be a forward omelet for sure.

Earlier in the year we were complaining about him changing up the lines too much in each game.

Fletcher just on kfan saying Cullen out for a minimum of 2 weeks. Purposely vague about that timeline before deadline for leverage reasons.

Ouch!

We have a tough stretch of games coming up (whereas Vancouver has a much easier schedule). Can't wait to see what Yeo has in mind for 2C in Cullen's absence.

Cullen out for 2 weeks or more? Even more glad we made the deal for Pommer now. We need a center now though, hmmm ...

Honestly I want Granlund up to play 2C. He should be motivated now and would come into a club who has been playing well as of late. Put Coyle/PMB on his left, and Seto on his right and see what happens.

Personally I don't think FBJ is anywhere close to being NHL ready.... yet. But that's just my opinion.

My bet is Granlund gets the call sometime tonight or tomorrow.

Probably depends on how Coyle does centering the 3rd line tonight.

I'm starting to twitch.... No Cullen...for two weeks...

Great, and when he gets back he quite possibly could be cooled off...

Looking at the remaining schedule, I see the Wild finishing the season going 5-8.

So will 54 points be enough to get us in the playoffs?

Yes. 53 points would be a good chance, and 52 would be iffy.

Yes, but barely. We'd probably be the 7th/8th seed.

I'm hoping the infusion of new talent pulls the Wild out of this rut.

We'll see tomorrow.

By the way, Larsson trade, which might lead to a Granlund call-up, was made 3 days after Easter.

Just saying...

Actually, it's more like **** you Lemaire.

Riser was a terrible manager of talent but at least during a small part, he acquired some solid players to try and push to the playoffs. As much praise as we blow up Lemaire's ass, he was and is a) a terrible coach for young players and b) not adapatable

Uhhh... the Parrish situation had NOTHING to do with Lemaire being a terrible coach for young players. Did you read the post you responded to? That Riser comment was in response to Lawton - a sports agent, Russo tweeting about Lawton's comment on taking the Wild front office to school for Parrish's contract!
