Yup. That was special.

I'm a big fan of his. Happy I was at the game against Florida to see his last goal as a Ranger. Now the two jerseys I own (Anisimov and Gaborik) belong to Blue Jackets!

"Gabby and I have a great relationship," Tortorella said. "It's a really good one, no matter what's gone on with him. He's a good man. And I'll miss him. I'll tell you right now – I'll miss him. He has grown as he's been with us. Quite honestly, when he first came here, I don't think he really had enough skin on him. He has skin on him. I respect him." - JT

I was never a Gabby basher. He gave me some great moments as a fan.

Will always root for him to succeed.

I hope the fanbase remembers him for three seasons he played excellent.

He was a joy to watch. His first season here was awesome with Prospal. Nice seeing them together again.

I really liked Gaborik a lot. Fun player to watch most of the time. Always felt he got a bad rap here, especially in the playoffs last year when he was still putting up points (and it turned out, he was doing it with one arm).

There was one play his first season here where he was at our blueline, the puck was by the opposite bench, and I swear he went from standing still to the opposite blueline in 1 second. Got a breakaway, scored a goal. I want to say against Buffalo, but I can't be sure. It was one of the single most amazing plays I've ever seen.

Hmm. Okay. Of course he is a good man, as if I need Tortorella to tell me that. Skin?

Tortorella comes across as quite immature.

Loved Gaborik here when he was on, even if he had his invisible patches. A true goal scorer that this team needed when we signed him. He was a major part of our run last year and the main reason we had any offence post-Jagr. I'll miss ya, Marian.

Now I have to change my username.

Was stunned when the trade went down before. He'll go down as being one of the most ridiculed Rangers for absolutely no reason. Not his fault he sustained injuries, but the dude was tough as nails. Played through most of the playoffs with essentially one ****ing arm. One of the most electrifying players I've got to watch a lot of over my time as a Ranger fan. Glad we had the fortune of him donning the Ranger jersey for a few years. Best of luck in Columbus.

Thanks Gabby for everything you gave us. Elite finesse player, beautiful skater with absolute jets who has IMHO the prettiest release in the league. I feel about this trade the same way I felt when Mike Gartner was traded- all the guy did was score goals for us. What more can you ask for?

My favorite Gabby moment was during HBO 24/7 when the team is finished with their meal and ready to leave and Gabby orders another beer. Brandon Prust: " Gabby! We have a game tomorrow!"

The fan base wishes you well.

I was already rooting for CBJ with Anisimov and Dubi there but now with Gaborik added, they are definitely my Western team to follow

I think this was Florida. I may have been at that game.

My favorite memory of Gaborik off ice is the christmas tree shopping episode, I thought it was hilarious and showed him to be a cool guy.
Best of luck Gabby.

I always say every time I see him walking away with that Christmas tree, "My life is okay". It's weird but it's eerily calming.

My favorite Ranger, despite his struggles this season. I'm gonna have to go and get a new jersey now (and avatar)...I'll definitely miss having Gabby, a true sniper. Hope he can pick up his game with Colombus. Good luck to him, and welcome to the new guys!

You can't tell me we couldn't have held onto him and traded him at the draft to a desperate team who would offer more. Or worst comes to worst we get the same trade.

I loved Gaborik here and still would have loved him here. He can still play. I am not a Torts hater, but he is not an offensive coach and that killed Gaborik's game this year. The constant mind games and shuffling from RW to LW was just plain stupid. Demotions the 3rd line were asinine as well. Torts does not know how to coach offense and/or pure offensive players.

Good luck to Gaborik in CBJ.
I have to agree with just about All of this.
