At least Spurgeon has some moments, those other two goofballs, not sure how they even made the team in the first place.

Spurgeon has like what 5 goals? For his PP production alone he should be carried as a bottom defenseman.

Honestly. Falk and Stoner cannot skate or play positional defense. Neither can shoot. What do they bring to the table? Nothing at all. Stoner has been really bad for four or five games now. Falk is off and on. When I don't notice him it's a good thing.

Koivu, Pomi, and Parise really, really need to click, fast. Coyle needs to elevate that second line. Clutterbuck needs to hit the net. But most of all Stoner and Falk need to not suck.

It's much better for a long bone to be injured rather than a joint. Wrist = carpals = intercarpal joints = complications and early DJD. Much rather have cortical bone on his radius hurt.

Call up both Zucker and Granlund.

Parise-Koivu-Pominville
Coyle-Granlund-Setoguchi
PMB/Zucker-Brodziak-Clutterbuck
Rupp-Konopka-Mitchell

As bad as Granlund played when he was playing with us earlier this season, I hate the thought of him being called up now at such an important part of the season, but I'm afraid you're correct in what the Wild will end up doing.

It could get worst....Scandella is playing okay in Houston and probably ready to come up - he would be a huge difference from what Stoner is doing lately since his +4 (or was it +5?) game a while back.

Cuma has been a healthy scratch lately so would need to get into Houston's lineup before he would be ready for the Wild's.

Kampfer is a minus machine as in not much on the D side. He has gotten better in that area laterly but that could be that he plays with Paul Mara who seems to spend a fair amount of his time covering for Kampfer's play.

The guy that needs to be replaced and no one talks about is Gilbert. He is -11 and is basically a $4 million a year 3rd pairing D. In the last few games, it seems like he doesn't see the ice much in crunch time. But maybe this is by design?

Ugh, there's just no center depth here. We needed Larsson to fill this spot. Granlund is not ready and McIntyre is not a top six guy.

And the holes on defense are getting uglier by the game.

I think we are going to see Coyle be switched to center. I heard that from a couple different sources last night. Seems like a possible fix to a end for now at least. I'd be real surprised to see Granlund called up. He looked so bad earlier this season. Like Stoner bad, but at center.

I think he'd make a better center than any of the other blue chippers, but it neutralizes his ability to bang along the boards and drive the net.

Agreed. I think Coyle should play at center and Granlund and Zucker on the wings.

Or better yet, leave Granlund in Houston.

Ideally I'd only want Granlund up here for the taxi squad at the end of the year if/when Houston is eliminated. He needs lots and lots and lots more experience.

Did Fbj bang your wife or something? No need to spam this thread with bashing of Granlund, one post was enough.

Are you mad that Fletcher and co chose Granlund over Larsson? Because that's should not be surprise they have told (Yeo,Fletcher etc.) many times that Granlund will be big part of this team now and in the future.

I heard the same interview...and he added the reason why they were vague on Cullen's injury initially was they didn't want to lose any leverage in their bargaining had they decided to try and trade for a center. If teams knew the severity of Cullen's injury, they would use that against us in trade talks.
