Burmistrov won't be put anywhere where he could succeed.

It would be nice to have Wright back.

And from the broken record files, it would be nice if Wellwood was in the pressbox.
Wellwood has been one of the best players the last few games.
That's not saying much given how the team is playing.
At least make some sense when calling for someone to be benched...

I didn't see the NY games, but he was gawdawfulhorrid in the loss to the Canes on Saturday. And most of the games before then.

Good game guys.
Thanks for trying to inject some hope into our day but unless you tell us that your forwards are going to use goalie sticks this may get ugly.

Have a great playoff run.

I'll settle for the lefties and righties swapping sticks even.

Plekanec is a central part of our offence, without him, things could turn ugly... Just saying

#NHLJets skate has Dustin Byfuglien skating as a forward, James Wright has rejoined team, Mike Santorelli and Aaron Gagnon also arrived

I am not sold on Buff at forward
The defence is not good enough to have him playing forward.

Hope it works out.

Buff just hasn't been playing very well on D lately, so adding Postma and moving Buff to RW is a positive move.

Gimme a break, he's been given 2nd line time the past two season's but hasn't exactly shown anything. Lets get real here, a good player has to make his own breaks sooner or later and with Burmi were still waiting.......

tbh I'm worried about Buff's attitude, moved to forward (probably) against his will

Buff at forward might force him to start playing better back on D, next time he's there, so that he doesn't get complacent.

This was one of the things that popped into my head.

If people think bad buff on d is one thing
wait until disgrunteled buff gets out there on the top line

Not sure what the lines are for tonight but I'd love to see Kane-Burmi-Buff although Noel probably won't give Burmi the chance......

I just hope no one mentions that the Jets haven't won in Montreal since I was in high school.... and I'm 45 freaking years old

If by 'succeed' you mean, 'collect a few secondary assists off our best players to make his stats look better', I agree.

Hoho! I'm just being snarky. Seems like a good kid with a some good skills. Needs to work on a lot of things though and his chemistry on this team (on a team where chemistry is already below average throughout) is lacking, as well as a dodgy relationship with coaching staff it seems.

He hasn't received a lot of second line time this year. Coach doesn't like him. He won't get put in a place to succeed going forward.

He needed more time, but won't get it here.

Kane needs someone to enter the zone with speed with him to open up the ice, i.e. Wheeler. I want to see:

Ladd - Little - Buff
Kane - Jokinen/Antro - Wheeler

I don't view Byfuglien's move to forward as some form of punishment, not sure why that seems to be the consensus.

This is a team that has been using Antti f'in Miettinen as its 2nd line RW, and has been consistently commiting soft turnovers along the boards. Regardless of whether Buff prefer playing D or is ultimately more useful there, the offense is in desperate need of a spark.

I Like Buff on D more as well but we need to manufacture offense somehow.

The gaping hole on our Second RW needs to be filled and this is a total bandaid situation but its the closest to a complete depth chart that we can get. Its Robbing Peter to pay Paul but its a sprint to the finnish so who cares just do what ever it takes

Jets 3-2... No one giving them a chance against a better team. Sounds like a game the Jets usually win!

There's no place for snark on the internet...oh, wait a minute...

I think Burmi has looked good with Kane and Antro - toward the end of last year, and in the three or four games they played together this year. His "east/west" game is highly effective at buying himself time and space to survey the ice and look for the pass. His problem to date has been pulling the trigger. I think he recognizes the right pass a moment to late and pulls back for some more dipsy-doodling. In time, as the speed of the game slows in his mind, he'll make those passes and start picking up the points. It won't be here though. Noel's never liked him.

I see the logic behind using him up front, and I don't disagree with it.
However, I just don't think the D is strong enough to move him there... but something needs to happen to get the forwards scoring.

I guess it couldn't be any worse then what has been going on.

Yet Noel has conversely stated on multiple occasions that he personally likes Burmistrov. I'm guessing what he doesn't like though is repeatedly asking one of his players to play a specific certain style and then having that player repeatedly not follow through on those requests. Perhaps Burmistrov isn't getting top line minutes because his service history hasn't warranted it? That is the more plausible explanation.

If Burmistrov is eventually moved it will be due his own actions, period.

As an aside, it has been interesting to watch a bunch of new accounts and others come out of the woodwork lately; a cynic might suggest that many of them are simply attempting to foster rancor around here at the first hint of any headwinds. The best argument that most of them can come up with seemingly is that the team isn't trading picks and players to prolong a very tenuous playoff run when in reality all the Jets management are doing is sticking with their oft-stated plan of building for the future. I'm conversely glad we didn't trade the future to be saddled with guys that other more competitive teams have deemed as expendable, frankly.

So anyway, Go Jets Go.
Based on our exchanges Gump, I'm going to assume you're talking about me. Forgive me if I'm wrong on that. Holding a different opinion than you about Chevy or the direction of the team than does not make one a troll or any less of a fan. I spend ridiculous amounts of money and time on this team. The Jets could hire Maggie the Monkey from TSN to manage it and I wouldn't bail; my 2 year old is going to inherit my tickets. So yeah, spare me the condescension.
