I think it will be between Ovechkin and Crosby. We have just seen a glimpse of what they can do, they will crush the NHL this season.

I voted Ovechkin

Briere will have more points then Lidstrom.

Expect Danny B to break 100...he would have done that this year if healthy.

He's a bit of a strange pick to contend. To digress, I did take him in the 3rd round of my hockey draft pool last year, and his ppg average made him one of the best 3rd round picks. His totals even stacked up pretty well against some 2nd rounders.

It's that time of year to get ready for the pool. Last year, my research and instinct paid off with taking Staal in the 9th round. He was completely off everyone else's radar, and from the 5th round onwards I kept holding off, trying to grab other players who I knew were going to get picked sooner or later.

But Ruutu and Havlat's injuries ruined my season (and theirs too). Injuries notwithstanding, it's pretty easy to pick well in the top rounds. Apart from a few standouts, there's usually huge groupings of players within about 10-15 points of one another. The tricky part is finding the breakout or rebound player in the later rounds when everyone else is picking 40-50 points guys.

(To be continued.)

I have a feeling Crosby will check in with somewhere in the neighbourhood of 130-140 points, so I chose him.

Backstrom isn't coming this year.

I'd pick Joe Thornton. A full year with Cheechoo will get them a rocket and an Art Ross again.

Spazza or Healtey look good if they play a full season.

playing with who though?
i believe ovechkin will be flanked with better linemates than crosby. but i do expect both him and ovechkin to be in the top 6 of the scoring race. however i want to see ovechkin win it this year, so i choose him.
thorntons line got better with bell replacing ekman (i believe)...and even though i'm not the biggest bell fan, he's definitely better than nils.
so thornton should be in the top 3 this year (for sure, barring injury), but in the playoffs he'll do nothing once again. haha, no-show joe.

Ovechkin and Crosby gonna came close but...

With Shanahan and Prucha, I think Jagr still gonna dominate the game.
