We need to be humble right now.

Hear me out, I am loving the fact that we are in a playoff spot and that our players are finally living up to the hype, but..... We shouldn't be going around the forum and making 3 different threads for Hall's beastliness. If the team starts to tank, and Hall loses his touch, HfOil will be a target out there.

In short, yes it's great that we are winning, but we are still a young team and we should except some oopsies from now until the end of the season.

HF Oil is always a target so makes no difference.

But I am pretty certain the Oilers know how to handle this. We don't run around having ceremonies for winning the President's Trophy or retire numbers of players who are not in the Hall.

What grinds my gears is the fans bragging on the mainboards. Honestly did they forget what we had to do to be there? Its like a homeless person raking in so much money through government programs then bragging they are rich (I know crappy but its mostly hits the point).

Be fast with the ignore option. It helps stay out of poo flinging battles with guys who seem to have access to a lot more crap.

I think that even if/when we start winning consistently (like on a yearly basis), we should all remain humble. It's part of being classy.

The funny thing is, even while remaining humble in victory, lots of people are still going to hate us.

As for right now, if the team can focus on improving defensively then we will be a factor in every game down the stretch. We can't rely on scoring 4 goals/game (or EIGHT! ha).

Just a few weeks/months ago this team couldn't score at all. Keep it tight in our own end and then let the thoroughbreds run free at the other end.

Thank you! I totally agree with you here. Be humble people, others will notice how good you are... There is no need to point it out.
We could be the best team in the league and we shouldn't have to point it out or brag about it. Please for the love of everything good and pure, be humble and classy!

To be fair, a lot of the Oiler threads on the main board aren't started by us. People crap on us in them, and our posters defend the team. Then we get called arrogant and insecure.

No need to worry as long as Leafs fans are around... There are 4 Kardi threads to every Hall one.

Agree that Hall for Hart\Olympics krap needs to stop especially on main boards.

Take it from a Wild fan - "Suter for Norris", "Brodin for Calder", "Backstrom for Vezina", "Yeo for Adams" .... daily threads ..

The whole time I was thinking lets at least wait until a few games after the win streak ends. Of course, the streak has ended now and the Wild look awful. They are a few more losses from dropping out of a playoff spot.

I guess every fan base gets excited when their team gets on one of these win streaks.

Yep... our time may not be now... but we are in position to sling back much of the **** we took... ESPECIALLY over Hall... it is too much fun rubbing it in the faces of people who bashed him as nothing more than a skating orangutang who we were lucky did not poo on the ice at every stoppage in play...

Some humility is needed, however people need to truly appriciate what's happening right now. Taylor Hall is growing into superstardom, the Oilers SIT IN A PLAYOFF SPOT in April, and the team has won 5 games in a row.

Should we act like the Oilers have "arrived", probably not, but everyone should feel REALLY DAMNED GOOD, because the light is truly visible, finally.

Very true but 2 out of the 3 active Oiler threads aren't started by Oiler fans. It always the same posters who love to take shots at us too. Glad I stay out of those things.
