Seriously though...No JBo? Damn you Hermes Conrad.
Had a Financial Accounting 3 exam and it went as well as a Blues-LA game so we made a unanimous decision to hit the bars and well we had a fun time in Corporate Tax class today lol.

I have no idea if Celtic will be around the GDT tonight and I'll be taking the game in at a sports bar with my brother, so just a friendly reminder to use that good ol' report button should things get ugly in this thread. Someone should get to it promptly, and if they don't I'll be around sometime after the game to do what needs to be done.

I'm not necessarily expecting it, but a regulation win in this game could do wonders for the Blues confidence down the stretch. All I'm hoping for is a solid team effort and some decent goaltending.

Can you imagine the uproar is Elliott pitches a shutout? That said, I actually expect us to come out flying. I wouldn't be surprised to see Elliott play well. I'm not expecting him to be superman, just make the saves he needs to.

So you guys are gonna let the kids go crazy? Sweet, we gonna have fun tonight. Maybe my streak of no infractions will continue.

Nice. My logic course is down to like 7 people and he had to curve the last quiz...The whole lecture Tuesday night was about the basics. The worst part is that I'm the guy who understands it, but no one ever speaks up and hangs me out to dry...So the teacher always looks for me to give the answers. It's an absolute waste of time.

As far as I'm concerned, the kids are already crazy. I'm just trying to make sure there's some padding on the walls before I leave you alone.

It's why most accountants are pretty much functioning alcoholics. So much alcohol, so many random hookups among our class lol.

Sounds like my dif eq class from last year.

Although I am not sure if that was worse or my leadership and ethics from this semester is worse. Nothing like putting in a 12 hour day and then listen to a man who makes Ben Stein's character in Ferris Bueller's Day Off seem like an engaging, excitable speaker.
I have to come up with games to keep awake...at least the other one I knew the questions were coming to me at the end of the half hour of writing...

Yea that's pretty much why I dumped accounting. I just couldn't do it. I mean I love a good drink as much as the next guy, but not every night.

I've got you beat...Two semesters ago, I had an ethics professor that knew no other tone but monotone. Let's just say that class helped me catch up on a lot of missed sleep.

Promoted to Global and immediately starts taking time off...forgetting about the little people he stepped on during the trip up the ladder...etc. etc.

I know where this little ride ends: in chains, bitter acrimony and the word "gulag" mentioned far too often to make me comfortable.

"Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely" in action everyone.

We are either the stereotypical boring accountant or the functioning alcoholic, there isn't much middle ground lol.

I have to play a modified version of buzzword bingo on my phone. I win far too often.

That and tracking how many stupid comments the secretary (sorry...business specialist) who typically sits next to me in class says per night.
Currently our top score is 14 and I cannot imagine a way she will ever exceed such a score. I am in fact sure that should she approach double digits again there will be a class-wide action to remove her from the premises post-haste.

I was wondering why the GDT thread was so long this early. Should have known. Trading stories of Accountants Gone Wild obvs.

Seems to be a common thread in many of the heavy math fields.

I believe the final project for any Electrical, Mechanical, etc. Engineering students at Rolla was to build your own functioning liver to replace the one ruined during the years spent there.

You guys need to go take a sociology course with Omari "Willy" Miller. You won't be bored. The people watching I did in that class was a defining moment in my life.

Pretty much. My best friend goes there, and drinking is pretty much all they have. Went up there last year for St. Patty's day. All i can say is...Oh My God.
